How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Parking was in a small public car park just across the road, with unloading/loading possible in a private road at the side of the hotel. Reception isn't open until 6 pm, although we were able to arrange an earlier check-in, which we appreciated. No staff on site overnight. Restaurant only open at weekends after peak season. No other evening eateries within walking distance.
À small, quiet hotel. Fresh, modern feel to room, up an outdoor staircase from a pretty garden. A private area of the rooftop terrace for each room's use. Fridges and microwave plus drinks-making facilities in communal area for guest use. Fabulous evening meal on the Friday night. Pleasant breakfast, with gluten-free bread provided by prior arrangement. Nice outdoor eating area for warmer weather. Staff friendly and helpful.

A modern and comfortable small hotel. Good beds and all comfort you need. And also a very good Restaurant is in Groundfloor. The breakfast is good and you can also sit on a small terrasse. The owners are friendly and speaks also a little English.

Be aware of the check in and check out time. Check in isn't until 18.00 and check out is before 10.30. Since we stayed only for one night it wasn't a problem (we literally only slept).
The room is clean and the village is really nice. Bakery is about 10 minutes walk. There is free coffee and hot chocolate for you and a fridge.

We loved everything
The whole place has a lovely calm, friendly feeling about it. The staff were all friendly, attentive and professional in every way and the food was out of this world

The breakfast was really nice. We liked that we had the use of a fridge and tea/coffee facility. We had our own bit of terrace that we sat out on.

Just a shame restaurant closed.
Lovely village location whicb feels very safe.. Room is simple and beautifully clean. Very comfortable bed - lots of quality pillows. . Charming hosts. Have stayed here before - will be back!

The 6pm check in was a nuisance - we arrived at 4.30 and due to rain had to sit in the car. Will know for another time - in fairness it is mentioned in the confirmation email. I found the stairs up to the rooms a little awkward - made worse by the rain. Minor points that won't stop me staying again.
Great location - abt 10 miles from motorway- Real French village - lovely place to stop if on a long drive down thru France. Room was clean and well equipped-simply furnished which I like. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom perfect - walk in shower was so convenient. Dinner in the evening was fantastic- beautiful French cooking. Very dog friendly- little garden great. Will be back!

Wonderfully comfy, modern and clean. A lovely white bed to fall into at the end of a long day, and so peaceful I slept right through. Great value for money, don’t hesitate to book.

This is a perfect little hotel for 1-2 nights when travelling to Spain/Portugal. It has free parking just across the street in this little village.

A little challenge for us was that there was no food options all around the town. Due to mid season the accommodation restaurant was not open. Note doors are very thin, at peak season you may hear from your neighbors.
Lovely small town in South France. Nice staff, accommodating a late arrival. Dog friendly location - with friendly dogs in town :)

The wifi was very temperamental - mostly it didn't work. And we didn't find a hairdryer.
Excellent value for money. Rooms are very new and well designed - the terrace is a nice touch. There is also a communal area with coffee-making facilities and fridges - plus some random tea-bags (but take your own unless you really aren't fussy). The continental breakfast was very good - good quality and plenty.
