Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAmazing room, space, modern traditional luxury. Zen, beds a little to narrow for us. We are used to 100x200 cm per person. The restaurant is extraordinary with food from their own garden and local bio farmers. Great value for money for the three course menu.

Belgium(Vegan) breakfast was a bit sparse, not a lot of options were available.
Nice and clean room, the accomodation was overall very clean and beautifully renovated. Very happy that the dinner could be adjusted to fully vegan. Very reasonable price. Lovely animals walking around on the premises (cats and dog)

Off the beaten track so nice and quiet. Very comfortable and spacious room (Indian Summer) with nice view. Very nice breakfast and since we stayed 2 nights (Saturday and Sunday) with many restaurants closed we had dinner the first night, lunch on Sunday and a nice picnic snack on the terrace that evening. Very good food with two choices of starter and main - and as I chose the vegetarian option on Saturday they changed a dish so I could stick to vegetarian. Friendly staff. Recommended

United KingdomThere was no bottled drinking water in the room and no body lotion. Menu choices for starters and mains were very limited.
Beautiful tranquil location, but we wouldn't have found it without Waze! Phillipe, the owner, spoke excellent English. The Auberge has been lovingly restored and the grounds are delightful. Our room (Indian Summer) was big and looked out over the glorious countryside. We had a balcony too. The shower and sink areas were in the room, but cleverly positioned. It was a blessing not to have a TV in the room. We had drinks on the terrace (although there's no official bar) and ate in the restaurant. The food was delicious - vegetables were from the kitchen garden and other ingredients were locally sourced. The wine was very reasonably priced. We would have loved to have stayed longer and to have explored the area.

United Statesnothing! absolutely nothing! this is a rare and healing experience that takes great teamwork and management. bravo to the entire team and thank u to Phillip the owner who I met and his family for a tough and expensive 11 years to cultivate such a place. They recommended me to a GREAT gourmet restaurant, La Table de Jade, for Bastille Day and even drive me the 7 minutes there and back before the 14 July fireworks. The dinner out at The Table de Jade for two hours ( plus I know conception n preparations n clean up, was the same price I paid for a full day n night at La Source Doree. if Phillip wants an idea: offer rates that are sliding: 110 for basic rate. $220 per night for spa service free not $20, and tour of the gardens w a half hr tour explaining the owners philology n partnerships in the region & elsewhere, as an environmentalist. it is written up but could even for those who buy basic price could be added for $100 once people arrive and see the place! it is also good that a supply of their made products some jams, cassis, pottery etc . La Source Doree as I asked where I shopped or busted has a great reputation for environmental biological ( I eat organic foods and am vegan too) so BRAVO for achieving they very hardworking n COVID nine months of hardship and closing for finding your way through! Please read this to ur whole staff n family Phillip! I enjoyed your great and Grenada aligned, knowledgeable n helpful . great younger staff members too. They are all clearly well trained to give, a dying art form, which you exited beautifully each: service! put out more publicity n cards for guests to share w others n post visit suggest we give u quotes to use in your PR. or marketing. You are free to use any lines here. they are most sincere! sign it Tracy Gary, Philanthropic & Legacy Advisor, Tiburon, California. Mille Merci!
exceptionally conceived and managed with grace. very laissez faire for guests, yet relentlessly attentive staff and owners to every detail and request. gorgeous, breathtaking site of La Madison and impressive commitment to the environment. This place is a true model. price should be / x $110 per night I spent! truly! I came without a car, as an environmentalist and was met with wisdom n kindness and the owner surely COVID adjusting, and fatigued, seeming willing to accommodate my 71 year old unusual visit. I live in California and have travelled to all 50 states n 23 countries, for mostly work. This is the single place I would give 5 stars to, ten if you had them! I will tell everyone I know to come here. yes it is not “on path” for most but fate had my London Bastille Day plans change due to my friends’ illness n the transportation strike. it took me many trains and metro to arrive and depart to Florence but this was an extraordinary experience. Plus!! I was not even there when their famous restaurant was open ( I came on a Tues pm after dinner n left Thurs mid day. I look forward to that experience as I hear it is great. I was initially a bit disappointed not to have the full valley view, but the gardens were beautiful too on my side. I have never stayed in a room in which it was perfectly decorated and simply presented, and maintained with such care!
