How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Possibly put a kettle in all rooms as it is nice to be able to have a tea in the evening or in the morning.
5 minutes walk from the station, welcoming hosts, gave me a kettle to make tea as I was leaving too early to have breakfast, bathroom renovated.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, very easy & short walk from Satin-Louis Gare train station. Good breakfast including a cooker for soft-boiled eggs. Gentleman running the desk both the evening we arrived and the following morning was very kind and polite, even gifted our Uber driver an espresso. All in all a wonderful stay!

There should be more sockets in the room for charging.
The location is close to the train station and bus to Euroairport. The staff is kind.

Not much. The hotel parking is not very easy to see from the street and there's only a small sign.
Quiet area. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff at check in.

Small room.
A nice hotel for those with an early flight to catch. There is also a bus that goes to Basel city center. The host is very nice and polite, and the breakfast is good.

It would be great to provide water or a kettle and mugs. The room was smaller than pictured or expected. Sound-proofing wasn't the best but the guests were generally quiet. I requested for a quiet room so was placed at the back of the building with minimal traffic noise.
The hotel is conveniently located from Basel Airport. I took the bus 11 after exiting from France side of Basel airport. It costs €3 and 5-10 minutes later it dropped me at St Louis train station. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from here. From St Louis train station, there were easy connections to Colmar, Mulhouse, Strasbourg. The hotel itself is cosy and quiet. The room is clean, comfortable, basic. Towels were provided. No tea/coffee making facilities but there is a hair-dryer and shampoo/shower on the wall. I felt safe and the staff were very approachable and friendly. It was ok for a one-night stay for an early morning connection. There is a boulangerie 7 mins walk from the hotel which opens at 6am and closes at 7pm. The staff took me to the airport at 4:30am for €25, and offered me coffee.

For those sensitive to smells and perfume, I might not recommend, there was a spray thingy in the bathroom on timer, so it constantly sprayed the room with a nice smell, but foe those sensitive, I would stay away. Beds were hard.

Shower was very weak, everything else exceptional for our needs
Excellent position for us, we had flight delay. Very accommodating with our late arrival. Very welcoming and good staff. Everyone very polite. Very comfy, very clean.

The hotel is close to the airport which is really great if you have early flight. The room was a bit small but fair for the value. We had also a late check-in 10pm which was also convenient.

Despite the renovation the age of the building is beginning to show. The toilet tissue holder may be modern and cost-effective, but in practice it's annoying.
The hotel rooms have recently been renovated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The nearby Italian restaurant was excellent value for money.

Good location, near the train station. It takes about 10 min to arrive at the airport from the hotel by taxi. The room was clean. We asked for kettle from the receptuon and got it.
