Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI didn't like the shower / bath setup. The shower was not very manageable and the bath not suitable to use as a bath because of wear and tear. More attention to the cleanliness of the bathroom around the tiles and bath area. No mirror for drying hair with own hair dryer in the main bedroom.
Beautiful place and lovely friendly staff. Very relaxing and the outside setup and pool very nice. The staff were on hand to help with anything throughout the stay and eager to book restaurant reservations etc. Not overcrowded and had a very homely and relaxed feel.

United KingdomIt was lovely but there were a few minor annoyances; - There is no restaurant & it’s quite a walk to the village to eat out. - Further, the staff said there were no village eateries, but there are & the one we walked to ‘on the hope’ that it was open (L’atrape a vin) was excellent! - If you’re not in a car or don’t want to drive, you will need to walk to the village or get a bus (only two a day) into & out of Avignon.
Super quiet. Lovely gardens in which you can take your breakfast. They’re also happy for you to bring evening food back to eat in the gardens.

FranceFriendly, it's hard to tell. The shower, perhaps in our bathroom that was yet not renovated.
The garden and surrounding. Their white wine as well great value. Frankly, this is a very nice property that make you feel like at home both from the welcome of Anne or the kindness of the owner.

United KingdomI like the situation of the hotel, located in a quiet rural street surrounded by farmland. The hotel is surrounded by trees and greenery and is very relaxing. The hostess, "Anne" is very environamentally minded and very concerend about sustainability. It's not the accommodation to come to if you're looking for a bar or a TV in every room. I would describe the accommodation as simple, yet comforatable. I cannot speak highly enough of the hostess. I came to the hotel after exeperiencing soem difficult personal circumetances. Anne went beyond what she had to, to facilitate my stay. She is extremely friendly and was very accommodating to my individual needs. She provided great assistance to me.

United StatesThe tub was very deep and narrow, so standing in it with the handheld shower was a bit awkward.
The owners were very accommodating. The rooms were quaint. The breakfast was very good and the grounds were pretty. You could eat inside or our. The pool was very nice. The rooms are average size with a nice big window looking at the garden. Bathrooms are old but adequate. The bed was quite comfortable.

ThailandIt was a bit hard to find for me, 15 min from Avignon city and at night it was dim. No lights at parking area.
The hotel was not too far from Avignon city, it was quiet and croissants were great! It had hair dyer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, walkin closet and water bottles. Breakfast for 12€ per person. The room was spacious, antique but well mainatined.

United KingdomDouble bed was a bit small; and the room needs more electric sockets so phones etc can be charged easily - but these are very minor points overall.
Overall this was excellent - a great location, with a good pool and plenty of shade. Nicely informal atmosphere, with people able to eat/drink outside in quiet shady corners. Very good location for Avignon and other local sites.

United KingdomI hadn't realised how far away the hotel would be from a restaurant in the evening. We did not have a car with us and, as a result, were rather stuck for getting an evening meal. This was probably my fault for not checking in advance but I would definitely recommend having a car if staying at this property. I would also recommend taking mosquito deterrent sprays as the mosquitoes were very active in July.
The place was very pretty/idyllic looking, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and had a lovely garden and swimming pool that we could use. There was also aircon in the bedrooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had an enjoyable stay.
