Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is so incredibly convenient a location when travelling into Lyon Part Dieu railway station, a 2 minute walk from the exit. Similarly, a public transport link to all around Lyon is available from the station exits. Staff very friendly. Room so quiet that you would never hear the railway station next door. Excellent fresh and tasty food for breakfast. Overall, it is very good value hotel

Location to the train station when travelling with luggage Accommodation deal included breakfast. Front desk customer service person by the name of Carol being a male person went above and beyond. Answered all our questions over the days with a helpful, friendly and professional manner. UBER: I had issues locating my driver. Carol made contact with the driver by phone and located the driver’s whereabouts. Carol carried my heavy bag to find the driver about. 5 minutes from the hotel. I appreciated Carol’s assistance with this stressful situation as I was travelling to the airport to travel back to Australia.

SpainLooks like our room wasn't done cleaning: we only got 1 towel instead of two, unfinished details in the bathroom etc.
The size of the room (King) was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. The location is great if you need a layover close to the train station!

United KingdomWhile our stay was generally very comfortable, there were a few very minor drawbacks. The fold-out bed wasn’t the most comfortable, though it was manageable for a short stay. One concern was that the windows could be opened fully rather than just tilting, which felt unusual for a high-floor room (we were on the 8th floor). While this provided much-needed ventilation—since the room was quite warm and the air conditioning was a bit temperamental—it did feel like a potential safety issue. These were minor inconveniences overall, but something to be aware of if you’re staying at the hotel.
The Mercure Hotel Gare Part-Dieu is a well-located, modern hotel, perfect for travelers using Lyon’s train station. It’s easy to reach from the airport, and despite being in the city center, the rooms are impressively quiet. Our room was well-appointed, featuring a separate shower and sink from the toilet, plus a kettle with tea-making facilities. The main bed was large and comfortable, though the fold-out bed was less so—but manageable for a short stay. It's also perfectly located for visiting all of Lyons main attractions, with easy walk to metro, bus and trams. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My daughters loved the Geckos and fish tanks in reception. The people of Lyon were also very kind and spoke excellent English, compared to my very clumsy French. The hotel has a stylish restaurant downstairs, which looked quite posh, though not ideal for dining with kids. Fortunately, the nearby train station offers plenty of breakfast options, including Paul’s, Pret, Starbucks, and local bakeries etc. For airport transport, the Rhônexpress is quick but pricey, clearly aimed at tourists. Due to ongoing work on the line, we ended up using other public transport, which was more affordable. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay, especially for those traveling via Lyon’s train station.

CyprusWe liked everything!!!
This should be a 5 star hotel!! Breakfast simply amazing, variety and quality! Room on the 9th floor, huge, superb bathroom and everyday cleaning was exceptional! Room service helpful to have. Staff so polite. Last but not least location of hotel close to train station and tram. But not noisy at all. We stayed almost 2 weeks so we got a good feeling for the hotel and we loved every minute!

United KingdomThere wasn't much we could complain about!
The room was much bigger than we expected, it was very close to station which worked well as we were leaving from the station the following morning. Everything you'd need in the room in terms of shower gel and soap etc, and a welcome pack with water and tea. Staff were very friendly, the room was incredibly quiet so we had a really good stay.

Spainnothing about the hotel; only negative relates to the city in the problems of getting taxis with ease other than by the train station.
The hotel is located with easy access to the train station, metro, tram and bus lines, which made touring the city much easier. The little amenities like cold water as you come in, or the mini-croissants as you leave, made for a welcoming sense of comfort. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating

United KingdomRoom smelt like possibly someone had been smoking and this had been covered up by strong smell of air freshener.
Big rooms and comfortable beds. Big bathroom with separate toilet. Friendly and helpful staff. Kids got welcome bag with colouring and sweets. They loved the pet lizards and fish in reception! Location was pretty good but no metro running from the station behind the hotel. Meant we walked a fair bit to a bus and then caught the metro, but worked well in the end. Convenient to have shops nearby and Westfield shopping centre behind the station.
