How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The room was very small, 15meters squared. We only stayed one night on our way to Lyon. It met our needs, but would be tight for a longer stay.
Good location, very quiet in Center of town. Beds were very comfortable and the staff super helpful. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special.

All the staf is extraordinarily, extremely friendly and with an ‘we genuinely want to help’ attitude. A very refreshing experience. Further the beds are fantastic.

Location is perfect, right outside the papal palace. They accept dogs. They have paid on-site parking (papal palace parking with direct access to hotel), which was very convenient. Great for exploring the city. Lots of great dining options nearby. Skip the on-site restaurant for dinner - go explore the city. It's fine, but there are better places within a 10-15 minutes radius by foot.

The hotel doesn’t look as good as it does in the pictures, in the room there was no bin at all. And the room wasn’t the least pleasent thing we experienced, the staff was very unpleasent, we arrived very late pouring rain, and she asked us fo a 100 euros garantee, as tbe room was only 165 euros. The hotel has this policy (i don’t if it’s the same for all the people, or maybe they just discriminate…) to block the 100 euros on my card, but the deblocking it means at least 10-14 days till i see the money back in my account. At the least pleasent thing the receptionist did, was tell us 3-4 times that we don’t have breakfast included and we can not just go in an eat without paying with her first, 4 times si repeated this. I travel a lot but this never happend to me before!

Great location, with comfortable underground parking. Friendly staff. Hotel is more of a 3 stars than a 4. Rooms are dated, small, and could do with a freshen up.

When we arrived there was a smell of dampness which was not pleasant in the main foyer and outside our bedroom in the hallway. This made us dread what the room was going to be like inside. Fortunately the room was clean and tidy.
Mattress was very comfortable. Bar and restaurant pleasant decor. We had a problem with the room safe ,tv and the bathroom sink plug which was sorted very efficiently by staff members All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful

The location of the hotel is perfect. All sightseeing spots can be reach easily by walking within 5-10 min. We arrived in Avignon by Motorbike. Parking the bike in the public parking garage directly beside the hotel was free and very convenient.

Not clean and dirty walls and carpet used some disinfectant wipes on switches and taps no bottled water room very basic. Pics on website looked fab unfortunately didn’t live up to the photos

Quite expensive for rather cheap rooms and old and worn furniture. Even with the 20% discount the parking price has been above the official price on the plate. The staff showed no interest in helping, even after asking twice, but only pointed out that it was not their car park.

PARKING. In a word hopeless. Avignon obviously does not thing of their visitors as far as parking is concerned especially if you have a group in a minibus, and for that reason i would never stay there again.
The location was good for visiting the city. The staff were lovely.

The AC is not working in the whole hotel. The facilities announced say that AC is available. It's not true. The hot is not acceptable at all.
