Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandIt is not a hotel. It is more like a student accommodation. There was no proper bathroom in the room, but this build in "portal loo/shower". Shower was a size of appox. 30x30zm, and the whole portable bathroom was less then arm span. Breakfast was very basic, no vegetables at all. Canteen staff was chasing us when we left to drink the coffee outside - not very friendly. Treated us like a school boys. Perhaps because it is not a hotel for adults, but an accommodation for teenagers.
Proximity to the park. Metro nearby with a lovely walk through the park.

United KingdomFelt like I was staying in either a dorm or a camp. Nothing labelled with breakfast, which was just generally cheap food. Nothing that special with it. Room service was pretty early so you are leaving the room at about 9am. Was in a twin room when I was a solo traveller, not very practical.
Close to the T3 tram and to a metro, so easy to get around the city. Breakfast included. Generally left alone by people.

AustraliaNo “do not disturb” signs, locks don’t work, breakfast was bland, and the hotel looked like a school. There was no notice given to guests about an event happening at the hotel which made it look like more of a school.
Good for a budget hotel, it did the job

RomaniaNothing to like!!! A total lack of understanding & respect for customers on the part of management. In the first part of the arrival day we were noticed that our flight to Paris was canceled, because French airport Beauvais was on strike.I noticed by phone the hotel right away, I wrote 3 mails ( without Any Answer from Hotel) & I called 3 times, asking nicely not to be charged for the night since It Wasn’t OUR fault. Despite our efforts & arguments( even Booking send an email asking if they agree for free cancellation & didn’t receive any answer either), the hotel decided to charge us anyway, with the comments on the phone that I should have made an insurance for our trip & get my money back from them. So thank you very much, dear management of CIS Kellerman, for your lack of respect, consideration & understanding.
Nothing.

GermanyThe bathroom is really small, the shower is almost on top of the toilet. The room is too noisy, the people walking in the corridors seems to be inside of your room. The breakfast was a disaster, no dishes, no cups, no cutlery everything missing and the food was also missing on the buffet you have to wait a long time until you could take something and there was just a few options.

AustraliaThe communication was poor. They did not answer questions sent months in advance from time of booking til check in date. Nor closer to the time. The receptionist had no understanding of English. The location was not good. The bathroom was shockingly small. The shower was smaller than a caravan or ferry shower - a tiny, tiny bit of space right up to the toilet. The bedroom was like a dorm. The photos make it look much better than is.
It was clean.

Australiathe bathroom was the size of a small broom cupboard. the shower recess was the smallest I've ever seen. the 2 metal chairs were the the only seats & very uncomfortable). given the room space it would be simple to add a bar fridge, and a coffee machine and/or kettle . No glasses provided. (just small paper cups) No hooks or places to put anything in bathroom. No benches on which to place bags (except one at ceiling height ). Given the room size a couch would be a simple addition.
firm bed, large room and good breakfast.

AustraliaCouldn’t find any fault with this hotel.
Was conveniently situated next to a beautiful park, in a quiet little corner of the city, with easy access to metro station, cafes and shops nearby, also easy access to all visitor attractions. Beds were super comfy, House-keeping made the beds & emptied rubbish every day, which was really nice. Staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough to help with all requests. Would definitely stay again.
