We cannot sum up our stay at the apartment, as we left after seven hours.

We didn't like the misinformation in the Welcome Booklet which led to misunderstandings between us and the host. We found this to be extremely disappointing and unexpected.

Although in our 70s, there is nothing we like more than walking the hills around Laroque des Alberes and going to the local bars and restaurants. The apartment was small but well appointed. We particularly liked the imaginative lighting design and view across the plains.

A beautiful studio which, with just a few small changes, would be outstanding.

Although one easy chair was provided, I would think a couple staying at the studio may prefer a sofa together with a slightly smaller bed. I couldn't really see how the loft space sleeping area could be used - it was obviously intended for just children, but access to it was up a steep 'ladder/steps' which I thought might be a unsuitable for small children. The kitchen was well-equiped - I cooked 'in' each night I stayed - and although compact, worked quite well although the toaster and coffee machine were a little difficult to use as they were placed at the back of the counter under a cupboard. There was a good selection of cutlery and kitchen utensils although for me, I would have preferred to see ordinary knives for example - only steak knives were provided. My only real disappointment was that I couldn't connect to the Wi-Fi - I tried several times throughout my stay at the studio, using the password provided in the welcome pack and I am certain I used the password correctly on both my phone and my iPad but neither would connect.

The apartment was beautifully appointed and very well presented. It was a studio, and although the main room was large, it was dominated by a huge bed, which was very comfortable. Cushions and pillows were plentiful. The bathroom was quite small but as a 'wet room' enjoyed a good-sized walk-in shower. Outside space was great, with a lovely balcony providing spectacular views over the village and beyond to the Canigou. The studio was easy to find and although parking was available just beneath it, I only left my car there for the first night as the route up, and especially back down again was difficult, through very narrow streets. I found alternative parking down in the village which was no more than a few minutes walk from the studio and much easier to drive to.
