Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe only criticism I have is that I think there should also be a steam room and sauna inside that male and female can use together at the same time as they are currently separated in the changing rooms, also there could be more options on the room service menu .
Everything was great would definitely return !

SwitzerlandHotel is clearly not 5 stars. Terrible value for money. Extremely unkind staff. Room: The room was extremely small, dirty (full of dust), old and not taken care, on top cold because none of the heatings worked. The view was from a destroyed part of the building and the window extra small, it feel like staying in an old attic in a suburb with barely space to move (and paying a lot of money for it). Staff: Very unfriendly and unprofessional. We arrived there late afternoon with my service dogs and the Manager told us that we couldn't stay in the hotel because (apart from being a pet friendly hotel) we didn't book a room that pets were allowed and we had to drive back. After 1 hour of discussing she agreed to let us stay (how absurd it was, since they are medical assistance dogs and the hotel claim to be pet friendly). We couldn't believe how poor we were treated and only stayed there because there were no other hotels in the region. Spa: Is public- not only for hotel guests- and completely crowded, we didn't find any space in none of the pools, the sauna outside was not working and this small jacuzzi outside was always full of people. We didn't even have the chance to try. Breakfast: Served by another provider (like the spa, not part of the hotel) Overall, is it clearly not a good experience and a rip off for the poor level of rooms, facilities, comfort and specially service.

United KingdomAmazing hotel with a very comfy bed! Enjoyed the spa facilities however I think it a bit cheeky to ask for a £20 fee to use the spa when you're already staying at the hotel (hotel of which was expensive to book at the time). I believe this should come included as per other hotels I have stayed in; however this didn't take away from how lovely the hotel is. Chicken caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had in my life! Mojito's were delicious also!

United Kingdomwe had room service and had peppercorn sauce. the peppercorn sauce was tasteless and watery. We ordered drinks outside in the spa which took around 20 minutes to finally show up, also the outdoor sauna wasn’t on which was disappointing. Finally we informed the hotel that it was the night after our wedding and I found considering the costs of everything that there was nothing to make the stay special. No extra effort or anything. I understand costs are high and I wouldn’t expect anything for free but even a little congratulations note or something in the room goes a long way.
absolutely LOVED the spa ! The potato salad was insane and the receptionist was very lovely.

United KingdomThe hotel is starting to feel a little dated and dirty. Many of the communal areas looked like they hadnt been cleaned for weeks and the spa also felt a little on the unloved side (there was salad floating in the main spa pool)

United KingdomFood was expensive for what it was We paid £5 for a selection of breads that looked like 5 slices of very thin ciabatta. I felt I was being ripped off. Tablecloths are always a nice addition to posh up a restaurant. We dined in the reflections restaurant, not the fine dining one as we did not want a 10 course banquet. This is the third stay I have had and the most disappointing. It seemed to have lost its exclusiveness. Some of the guests were sunbathing bare-chested on the main lawn drinking bottles of beer. To be honest it looked more like a chavvy scene from Love Island than an exclusive and very expensive spa hotel.
The rooms were great. The staff were good. Location is good.

United KingdomThe price of food and drinks were a little high, and the limited menu options for vegetarians/vegans a bit disappointing. If this had been a little better priced or included some spicy options, we would not have felt the need to leave the site during our trip at all to try a local restaurant. Also, the option to use the spa free of charge was not communicated to the hotel in advance, thankfully this was arranged quickly with minimum fuss.
The hotel's spa services was exactly what we needed, the quality of the food, including breakfast was superb. The room we had was comfortable and spacious with excellent facilities. Being able to play tennis and also use the automatic serving machine, and also go on a long walk within the grounds was the icing on the cake.

United KingdomDid not take interest in or deal with booking issues raised on checkin (for a 4 night stay in the top level of accommodation). I returned later with some documents to explain the issue but again not interest. When I suggested perhaps a free breakfast or free access to the spa as a goodwill (given the accommodation was costing us over £2000 room only and I was a repeat guest from a 3 night stay earlier in the year) I was told this wasn't their problem. Had I been asked on check out if all was ok I would have given more feedback on this but the receptionist didn't ask me or seem engaged. Restaurant esp for the evening meals was very slow and inattentive on service for the price point and level of hotel - I think (Based on experience I had when I stayed in May) this could have been due to staff shortages. Teapot in room had no lid (therefore unable to use) and despite leaving this our for housekeeping to replace each day it never was. Found items from previous guests in bathroom on arrival. Sadly wont be staying again based on this experience but a shame as has potential to be a great spa hotel.
Nice location. Lovely decor. Outdoor terrace. Nice extended parkland for walks. New garden suites have aircon (very handy in the July heatwave) and outdoors space with large bathrooms.

United KingdomA spa hotel but we couldn't book any spa treatments. Very slow service. Food ok but obviously left out before being served due to staff shortages. Couldn't get into the room until 3. Had to chase for our luggage and some water for the room. Nice view of an air con unit. Disappointing for the price.
Friendly but overloaded staff. Pool.
