How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Sue was very welcoming and friendly, the location is great, room was clean, bed was comfy. Good value for the price.

Pigeons/seagulls woke me up every morning as they seem to have a nest in the ceiling in room number 8. I didn't get round to tell the staff but the toilet light wasn't working, the spoon for the coffee was horribly dirty and there wasn't any coffee. There was no remote for the tv which was fine as I was always out.
Staff were nice and let me check in later than the check in time, and the location was perfect for what I needed and the room had a view of the tower.

A lovely little hotel close to all the attractions in Blackpool. Sue was a lovely host. Very clean and comfortable and very affordable. Would highly reccomend Only downside for us was the room was too warm but once we turned the heating off it was perfect but again that is personal preference

It’s fairly tired but you get what you pay for and given the price it was great value for money.
This property is in a great location, right next to the tower. The owner was lovely and contacted us before arrival to check our needs and provide details of the WiFi which was good.

The room was fresh, however could do with a bit more of a detailed clean, the hotel is currently renovating the rooms so I’m sure this will be dealt with in time :).
Right next to the main car park and Coral Island, beach and clubs a 5 minute walk!

Stairs very steep so be prepared if you have mobility issues. Wasn't the most clean, but definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed in at Blackpool. Was sad by the lack of teabags in the room, but that's my own fault for not packing some.
Staff were friendly. Great location if you want to be close to everything. Easy to find and good communication.

The bed was very uncomfortable, unless you like the concrete slab mattress style. First night was very noisy, people banging on a door and shouting but obviously that wasn’t the hosts fault.
Only met the host on arrival but was friendly and gave contact details for if she was needed. The location was great.

For the price we paid this was an excellent property but it does need a bit of a refresh in parts for example the carpet was cleaned but was heavily stained in parts. Would be great to have a general shampoo/body wash available in the bathroom.
Great location and really good owner who was fantastic at keeping in touch with us. Really felt welcomed. Comfortable bed and good bedding. Great bank of plug sockets which are often lacking in properties

The bathroom ceiling was missing a panel and was on the floor on arrival which I did pass on to staff. The screws in shower was a bit loose and was scared it was going to come off the wall.. The TV is on top of a wardrobe so can't see it really when wanting to relax first thing or when get back at night . Also had to ask for bottom sheet of bed to be changed because it was too small for mattress so it came off during the night.
Staff are super friendly. Couldn't do enough for you and were really engaging in conversation. There was staff on site 24hrs too which was good. Comfortable beds and could see the tower from our window. No time restrictions so don't have to worry rushing back at night etc. Free WiFi was great.

The host was very helpful when we arrived, let us drop our luggage into the room early. Also said that we could have a later check out. The location is excellent, very close to Coral Island, Tower and the Town Centre.
