Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot a busy night so it was quiet, I was the only person in the tv room which had Netflix, Amazon etc.. very spacious rooms with excellent security. Breakfast was the usual tea, toast and cereal, plenty of it and in a large, well-equipped kitchen. 5 min walk from Earl's Court station.

IrelandA toilet in the room wouldve been good and a place to read (though there was a very comfy living room I didnt use it as theres a big TV in there)
The kitchen was lovely and the free tea and coffee and breakfast was brilliant. It was very quiet too which I like and I have the four bed dorm to myself for most of the stay. It is a little old fashioned but very clean and in the process of being renovated too. The pillows and mattresses are memory foam and new. There is a charging port and light at each bunk. Easy going, easy check in friendly staff and excellent location.

SloveniaNothing really what I would dislike. Of course this is a hostel and not a 5-star hotel so adapt your expectations accordingly. As for areas that could be improved: I would prefer to receive towels free of charge. Some of the interior was dated, but nothing really problematic. When hostel is full you can expect waiting for bathroom because each room has only one and there are 2 or 3 additional communal toilets for 1 person only, but that's about it. Also maybe hostel management could organize events such as pub crawl for the guests.
Great location, just minutes of walk away from Earl's Court Tube station within Zone 1. Meaning you can reach any central spot in London by subway within max 20-30 minutes or so. There are many restaurants and fast foods around and even a larger supermarket to stock up on things. Breakfast was within expectations and quite tasty (toast, jam, butter, fruits, Nutella, coffee, tea, milk). You have the whole kitchen ready if you want to cook, bake or microwave food for yourself. Kitchen was available also outside of normal working hours, i.e. I was able to prepare me a breakfast at 6 AM because I had to leave early. Quite a lot of food and coffee / tea was available all the time, kitchen even has a place with free food that people have left there. Overall, hostel felt very safe, all roommates were pleasant. Roommates change quite a lot as it seems that people tend to stay 2-3 days max. Rooms were very clean and beds really comfortable. Each bed has own light, USB port for charging phone and a 220V plug with English socket, so continental guests need to bring an adapter or buy one for 4 GBP in the nearby supermarket. Lockers were HUGE and with an integrated coded safe for additional security free of charge. In bathrooms the soap/shampoo/body wash 3-1 was available, so you don't need to bring own.

United KingdomThe only thing that wasn't great was the shower. The hook was badly placed so you literally could only shower while holding the shower head. The steps to the bunk made moving into your bed harder than normal.
The check in was very easy & friendly. Well situated at only a few minutes from Earls Court & Kensington High Street - which is a nice part of London. It's located on a small side road so was quiet. The room was a good size with only 6 beds. The beds were so sturdily designed that you didn't notice other people moving. The lockers were a really good size. The whole hostal was easy, quite small, warm & cosy. The bathroom was clean.

BelgiumThe bathroom size was fine, but the shower cubicle was very small, very claustrophobic. I had difficulty moving carefree in it and I am tiny! The room was also immediately very full the moment someone was packing so stuff was over the floor, and the ladders to get into the bunks are a bit uneven/high, I am lucky I have long legs and am flexible. The room also got weirdly warm, too warm, like a sauna, even when the room's heating wasn't on high, the window was open and it being 10°C outside. This made it uncomfortable to sleep if you want to be covered by the sheets because of sensory reasons and didn't account for the warmth so you brought winter pyjamas.
The breakfast was great, not amazing of course but better than I expected than a €30/night hostel breakfast. I also found the sheets/blanket very soft and nicely squishy.

United StatesThe TV/leisure room could get a little spruce-up.
Location was very good. Very easy access to the Underground, eateries for all kinds of budgets (pubs, restaurants, fast-food chains, etc.), stores, food markets, and a laundry (although the place does have a laundry). I had an incident in which I felt harassed by bunk mates and I was changed to another room in a heartbeat.
