The room I stayed in was extremely tired, and in dire need of the renovation that is apparently coming soon. Carpet grubby, walls with holes and big marks from removed furniture, no headboard, very dated and tired furniture, no toiletries apart from a bottle of shower gel. In all honesty, a pretty depressing environment to spend any time in but all that said, it served its purpose as a base for a solo traveller and I slept well which is the most important thing… Great potential there to be a lovely place to stay once renovations are completed

Location perfect for exploring surrounding beautiful countryside, and decent transport connections.

The TV was mounted far too high for it to be watched in comfort.

Only stayed for a single night, so the room was perfect, very spacious, and basic. There was a kettle and stuff to make a variety of warm drinks.

Very slow response, or no response to emails in advance of stay. Arrived to find there was a live music event so the venue was very noisy and there were lots of people outside. Couldn't face going into the noisy environment so found alternative accommodation.

Problem with shower even after managing to turn it on still couldn't get regular hot water.

The TV was very far away with very few channels to offer, which is not the hotels fault. The mugs were a bit dirty. No toiletries except 1 used 1. There was no soap except a bottle which was empty. A bit of mould around the bath tub. The kettle had water in it from previous visitors.

The location and scenery what spectacular. Staff were very nice . The room was very spacious with a comfy bed. Lovely tea and coffee.

Loud disco 2 nights per week up to 11.30 pm.

location. bus stop right in front of the door, good direct service to Cardiff and Pontypridd. Heritage Park museum only 5 mins. walk away. Pleasant walks in the countryside directly adjacent.

Tea and coffe making facilities in the room however no cups or spoons and not replenished.We were there for 3nights and not once did we get a towel change. Upon arrival previous persons clothes tags and toiletries bottles in room(cannot have been cleaned properly) Pub below was realy loud and lots of passing traffic from rooms at all hours keeping us up all night.

Realy cheap,excellent food in the pub below and good traffic links.

Rooms could do with a bit of an update, but the pub has recently come under new management and having spoken to her over several evenings, the manageress has plans to fix them up in the coming weeks.

Welcoming and friendly staff, good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Great location with a bus stop immediately outside and train station roughly 1 minute walk away. Comfy beds, clean sheets and linen.

Walls are very thin. Had the pleasure of next door coughing all night and the other side doing "you know what" very vocally! 😂😂

I didn't expected much about this hotel, but there are small things that may be improved for guests comfort without investing a lot of money.

The price was cheap relatively to other alternatives in this area. The staff was very friendly. It is ok for short stay.

Nothing really but it just needs a few quirks in the room e.g no waste bin, no cutlery for the tea & coffee, there was a main light bulb out

The landlady was really friendly & helpful Even made us a mug of coffee down in the bar in the morning as there was only tea bags in the room.

Rooms were slightly dated and could do with a good clean, no TV in room. Also the banging of the doors constant were extremely loud

Bed was really comfy and slept well, location was great, bedding was clean towels were clean. Really good value for money and would recommend

Decor very tired (tho apparently a refurb is in progress) No TV (tho a colleague’s room did have one, so it seems to be pot luck) Lots of doors banging from the pub below as not all doors had soft closing mechanisms

Warm (radiators were adjustable and responded quickly) Comfortable bed Was quiet after 11 once pub closed. I got a good night’s sleep Cheapest place in surrounding area
