The smell of the bathroom. There's a distinct smell that I don't like. It was clean though.

Very clean, seamless check in/out, luggage storage before check in was very helpful for an early arrival. Pods were comfortable and private. Appreciate the messages on whats on/things to do. Their other hostel (The Court) has a lively common area, walk over to socialise or to grab a drink at the bar.

The bed pods were sparse, as expected! But it would have been good to have an actual plug outlet instead of just a usb options. Great other than that! The people staying on the floor above were quite nosy, but this is totally out of the hostel’s control - the facilities themselves were amazing.

The location was brilliant! Great room (I booked in the three bed all-female dorm and was lucky to have quiet roommates.) The value for money was brilliant, the locked facilities (room lockers) felt secure, as did the rooms due to the key codes needed for all access in and out of the rooms, and the main entryways. I also accidentally left a ring behind in my room, and was was able to contact the reception staff at the secondary location, and the staff went above and beyond to help ensure it was returned to me during a frustrating ordeal with DHL couriers! I couldn’t be more thrilled and pleased with the level of service I received for something which was technically my own mistake. Really really amazing staff!

Slightly further away from the old town and was next to a noisier street - I didn’t mind this and ear plugs were provided but good for other travellers to know!

the shower doesn't stay at one temperature, like it changes between hot and cold quite flexible and surprisingly.. makes showering an adventure. Otherwise, great bathrooms

Again.....the bunk ladder :-/ I wished it was slightly inclined (See the Josemari Hostel in Mallorca! ;-)

CoDE-The Loft doesn't feel like a bustling hostel (neither Code-The Court back in November, actually) Despite being next to a Wheterspoon pub, it was super quiet. The female-only pods were private and comfortable and the cleanliness, specially the bathrooms, is extreme due to a lovely lady called Danusha and her dedication (Thanks, Danusha, for staying after hours and helping me with the issue with my locker when I made a mistake closing it) I recommend The Code and surely stay there again in the future.

my bedsheets had a bit of a stain on them. I think it was a permanent stain but deff not sth that I wanted to see. However overall everything was well cleaned

great location, super well maintained and clean and very comfortable beds with good secure lockers and everything you need in your bunk bed re phone charger ports, shelf and curtain for privacy :) can’t say enough about how onto the cleaning the staff were and I feel bad for them as in the mixed dorm every day there was something disgusting be it faeces in the toilet or green snot in the sink but then 5 minutes later the bathrooms would be sparkling again! bless them haha on my last night I had an incident where a man in the bunk above me was very drunk and vomited off the bunk onto the floor only my bed while I was in the pod below and obviously it was disgusting but the staff were so quick to help and had me moved immediately to a girls dorm for the night and were so nice to deal with !

Possible bed bugs....I had marks and a rash on my wrist and body 24 hours or so after my stay. Like mosquito bites...no mosquitos in Scotland especially in winter so only other factor was my stay here.

Pods are more comfortable than bunk beds of standard hostels and offer more privacy/ security too.
