Rooms were so warm. Being on the 3rd floor with 5 other people in the room, it gets stuffy, make sure you have summer pjs, even in the colder months

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay the best that it could be! Location is 10/10, just perfect for accessing the city by foot. Excellent value for money.

- I had a problem with my locker door on day one and they didn't fix it. I could still use the locker but I figured I would need to mention it - The laundry washers and dryers seem very old, I would advise not to use it. My clothes came out of the washer wet and it took more than 1h for it to dry but didn't really do a good job - Breakfast on the hostel was disappointing

- Bathrooms are extremely nice and clean, they even have soap dispensers - Their showers are top class - The POD where I slept in was so comfortable. I liked it had walls around me and the space was relatively big - Staff was very friendly - Very well located - Lockers inside the rooms are huge, I was able to fit my luggage and backpack in them - The WiFi was fast and had good coverage around the building Overall really recommended

The ensuite room was bigger than other ensuite hostels we have been to. Coffee at the hostel was also good. Staff were also the barista. Staff assisted with printouts for free, meant for hostel guests.

The pods don’t have charging plugs, only USB outlets. Something to consider when packing.

The location is exceptional, just opposite St. Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile. Lots of storage in the rooms and added privacy of the pod vs. a bunk bed.

The only thing would be the breakfast made me (someone not paying for the spread) feel like I wasn’t welcome in the communal area in the mornings

Have just the USB charger inside the pods ! It would have had been nice if we had the electric charger. Also , if possible coffee can be available 24*7 .. now it's post 7am

The staff were in no way unpleasant but I just got the feeling their manner was a bit forced. No problem for us, but there is a fair amount of outside noise that Carrie’s in so maybe no good if you are easily disturbed. Probably depends where in the building your room is too.

love the location. I really enjoyed the pod idea, though they did get a little hot in those enclosed spaces. there was an air conditioner though. Pegs for hanging clothes and lockable storage cupboards. the showers were good and there was a laundry on site. bustling common and meals area. Good looking accommodation all round.

Bathrooms weren’t very clean. I had a shower in the middle of the day when the cleaning team were cleaning the bathrooms. Looked like they whipped a mop around quickly and gave everything a wipe but basically just pushing dirt to the corners. Additionally whilst after I got out of the shower a male employee came into the bathroom without warning. Luckily I had a towel on! You should really have a sign up to say if you have male bathroom attendants and/or have them shout to say they are coming in or close the bathroom whilst cleaning is going on? I wasn’t too bothered by it but I think other women might be.

The person beside me snores the whole night. I guess there is not much to do, just lousy luck ahahah. Or maybe to tell them to bring some that can smooth their sleep.

The privacy we get for an affordable price. The location was prime and despite sleeping with more people the rooms were quite.

The small sink in the bathroom (Cell 306) could have been placed closer to the shower wall, so a bit more away from the toilet.

Only point with which I have issue is the cleanliness of the bathrooms - considering the number of people that pass through, I think an effort should be made to clean them more often

The location is excellent, the constant availability of staff to help out is great, the hostel is well thought out (from the layout of the rooms to the bathrooms etc), the pods comfy and providing a degree of privacy should you need it. Breakfast is available for a reasonable fee - 5 pounds if you book before, 6 pounds if you buy on the day - an assortment of bread, jams, boiled eggs, waffles. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning!

The female bathroom was not cleaned enough in my opinion, the shower floors could have been cleaned a bit more.

Perfect location! It was a lovely stay, definitely recommend :)
