The location is great but you could hear the noise outside, it’s not too loud but would recommend earplugs if you need pin drop silence to sleep

They really have to clean the toilets more, this was not as 5 star as the pods and the staff is!

We really loved all the staff and the location. The pods are also really nice and are a really nice experience. The staff really makes this place, really legends !

Thanks to the awesome location right in the old city center this hostel is great choice for everyone who is looking for cheap and comfy accomondation. I really do appreciate those free ear plugs on the reception.

The staff were super friendly and the place was in a great location. The other guests were warm and welcoming and it had a lovely atmosphere. I attended the beer tasting and the free guided tour, both of which were fantastic! A special mention to Ross for the tour which was one of the best I’ve ever been on.

The pods aren’t individually air conditioned, so they can get a little stuffy and hot during the night.

Excellent location in the centre of Edinburgh Old Town. Spotlessly clean, great showers and excellent WiFi. Staff were friendly and helpful too.

It's difficult to find the first time, It is literally in front of a church.

I met great people and I always felt safe. You have a small cab bed and a locker (all doors use a code and also the locker), you have a lot of private space compared to other hostels. I really liked the bathrooms (free soap!). Also, the atmosphere of the old building is similar to that of a prison or a bank, unbelievable.

My travel companion was dismayed by the lack of a nightstand or small table in the room, but it's a hostel, not the Ritz, so it didn't phase me much. It was pretty loud outside our room until the wee hours of the morning, but we were staying on the Royal Mile during the Fringe Festival so that was expected, IMO - the free earplugs at the check-in desk helped immensely! :)

The location, right on the the Royal Mile, was excellent for exploring Old Town and the surrounding areas! I had a room with two twin beds and an en suite bathroom - the room was a great size, clean, and comfortable, and it was a great value for the price!

There aren't any additional air vents in the pods so it tends to get pretty hot inside with the curtains closed Not too big of a problem though.

Pods are quite spacious and long I'm 6'4 and I managed to fit inside without a problem. Staff is helpful, pods and bathrooms were clean and the whole place is really modern. Would recommend for every lone traveller

A few rowdy guests talking loudly in passages after some guests had fallen asleep. I arrived late, after 10 pm, so it didn't bother me, but due consideration could have been observed towards other guests. This is also one of the reasons I will not book a mixed dormitory.

This was my second visit. The first visit was during Covid restrictions. I enjoyed the full breakfast as last visit was toasted sandwiches, unless you had your own supplies. I was passing through Edinburgh for one night only then as also now, due to no available trains to travel further South to England. The friendliness of staff and other guests is very pleasant as is the diversity of countries of guests and staff.

I really liked the location and the ability to connect with other travelers. The facilities were clean and the staff was always helpful. The bathroom bins seemed to overflow a bit at times, but considering how many people stayed in the facility, that was a minor thing.

When the girl behind the counter asked me how my stay was I told her it was perfect. I should have been honest and told her that the cleaning of the bathrooms and toilets was just not good enough. It is a real shame that they didn’t do that good enough as it should be a lot better to be honest. Also the breakfast was not as good as I hoped for, as a lot of stuff was just not there and for example they where just out of eggs the last 3 days?! Anyway I should have told her this at the desk but as they are so nice I just said it was perfect but in hindsight this was not correct. If they fix these things, especially the toilets it can be perfect!

The people who work there are so incredibly nice, they made our stay! We also loved the atmosphere in general at this place. The fact that it’s on the royal mile and the pods provide a lot of privacy made this the place to be.

A bit noisy at night. The room and bathroom are both tiny. Staff seemed pretty strict about checking in at 3; we arrived after 2 and still had to store our luggage and return later. Didn't take the breakfast (paid, and the breakfast room looked very small).

The hostel is on the Royal Mile, right by the cathedral, across from the TI and the start of many walking tours. It's a bit noisy at night, but worth it (there are free earplugs at reception). After a long day of walking around Edinburgh, you'll be glad your room is not in some far flung part of the city. The bed was comfy and there was USB wall charging.

The shower booth did not have curtain and not enough space to put clothes. If there were a chair in each booth, that would be helpful. There was a hole on the floor on the basement, the place near the stairs and bins. I twisted my ankle there.

The pod, bathroom and entire hotel were clean. Location was great. The pod designed conveniently. It was quieter than I expected.

Excellent location right in the centre of Royal Mile, very nice and friendly staff, I felt safe and well looked after, hostel is clean and quiet. I have never had such good sleep in a hostel before, people staying were all respectful and quiet in the rooms. I would stay again and recommend to others.
