Literally the only thing (minor btw) was that there is only usb charging points in the bed pods. Although they do offer adapters, there was none available unfortunately at the time. Not a huge deal as there are still plenty of plug charging points in the dorms themselves, just not in your individual pod when sleeping.

Absolutely exceeded expectations. I was going to book a hotel in Edinburgh but decided to stay at the code instead as great price. I’m so glad I did too - unreal location, friendly & helpful staff & it was so clean and comfortable! There was luggage storage both prior to check in and after check out, was close to so many of the major attractions and they offer a fab breakfast/coffee/drinks!

Not a red flag but within your pod you can only change via USB and the common room/ kitchen area had a weird smell.

It was a nice stay for a night and the location was amazing. Everything I wanted to see was in walking distance and close to public transport.

I know towel hire is very standard in hostels, but I just don't like it and wish it was included. Also, sometimes the events did not happen as scheduled.

This place was SO clean. The design was very good, and people were encouraged to hang out in common areas and just sleep in the rooms. It was packed, but comfortable. The staff were SO friendly and helpful. There were activities and times to meet other travellers. I stayed in a big mixed gender room and felt very comfortable and safe during my stay!

Code is a very nice hostel. Cleaness exceed my expectations. I felt safe in hostel during my solo travel. Also the location is amazing. I reached everwhere easily. Stay in pod was very nice and different experience

I have stayed here many times over the past few years and have always been impressed by excellent facilities. This time round, however, there were fruit flies in the shower cubicles - harmless really but a little off putting. The mattress I had this time didn't have much bounce back so became stuck/ depressed in the position I had been lying in.

Pod beds were comfy, clean and modern. Wash facilities were regularly cleaned and functional. Location is perfect! Very friendly staff who made me feel very welcome and assisted me with any enquiries. I'll definitely be returning.

The shared lobby/lounge space and kitchen are a little bit too small to accommodate all residents. You sometimes struggle to find a spot. Also, the front door doesn't close automatically. It then stays partially open when people are not carefull in closing it properly, so most of the time. It cools a lot the lounge space.

Even when staying in big dormitories, as I did, the Pod gives you a feeling of intimacy. I really didn't feel like I was in a dormitory for most of the time! The shared bathroom get attention at least 3 times a day, which make them very clean compared to the amount of people sharing them. It was very comfortable to use. They serve the most amazing Porridge I have ever tasted ! And the fully equipped kitchen makes the stay so convenient, when you have small appetite and want to make a light meal instead of having to go out in restaurants or fast food. This kitchen is also cleaned often, which is very comfortable to use.

A very late, last minute booking as the accommodation I had been in was horrible so I went to Code. Code were fantastic. Lovely, clean and comfortable accommodation, very friendly staff.

It could get super hot in the pods, and one of the two USB plugs in my room didn't work so I had to choose between charging my phone or plugging in the small fan provided to try to cool down the room

it does get a little crowded with people's things and can be a struggle to access the lockers sometimes.

this place is sparkling clean, very friendly atmosphere, and the 'pods' are very comfortable and private. I will be staying here again!

The room smelled a bit because there were so many guests. I think a fragrance could have been used.

I liked the location of the hotel close to the old town and the bus stop to the airport.
