The pod beds are a bit short, I'm 178 cm and my feet almost went outside the madras.

A little pricey, but I stayed during the festival so was expecting premium rates, I’m sure it would be great value at another time of year.

Great capsule concept, all the benefits of a hostel with a little more privacy and comfort. Would definitely recommend. Perfect location for any kind of Edinburgh stay.

- Bathroom sinks could be kept cleaner - I felt it was a bit difficult to climb into the top bunk bed. Maybe an extra handle overhead at the entrance of the bed frame would help. - Fully walled off boxes as bed frames are good for privacy but can be uncomfortable for some. This wasn'ta problem for me but it can be for others, for example someone woke me up twice because they kept smacking the frame.

- Fantastic location right in the middle of the city - Lots of interesting activities partnered with the hostel - Lots of seating in the lounge area - Convenient breakfast option - Access to a kitchen - Plenty of showers with decent space to place belongings

Unfortunately one of the other guests I think stole my labeled food from the fridge - but I think there’s nothing the accomodation could do to prevent that. Maybe a little bit expensive like all accommodations in Edinburgh but a unique experience.

Our double room was very clean, cosy and comfortable. It had enough space and we even got sleeping masks and towels. The common bathrooms were so clean and although there weren’t much windows it felt so welcoming and cosy because of the great lightning. The kitchen and common area was clean and well equipped. In the heart of the city close to everything just keep in mind it‘s a little bit uphill if you‘re arriving with luggage. Unique experience to sleep in a former prison.

10/10! Was super impressed from the minute I walked into reception by the warm welcome and surroundings. Right in the heart of Royal Mile, love the pods -very clean , safe, quiet and well maintained. Great coffee in reception and good kitchen. Loved the vibe too! Sheets and (£3) hire towel clean, mattress comfy (for me) , I slept very well. Great roomy luggage storage (code locked) under my pod in female dorm. Lights in pod, with usb port and free fan hire. Showers very clean and modern. Location excellent for walking around city. Free tours of old town 11.30 am (Jackie the tour guide was great!) Definitely my go-to in Edinburgh!! Thanks for making me so welcome!!

The locker room for keeping the bags before check in could be a bigger space.

The breakfast on offer was simple, but good enough. The coffees were good! The staff was always putting in their maximum effort, and even during peak moments they managed to remain calm and very friendly. An extra mention to Martha who really excelled in her job!

Like everything in Edinburgh it's expensive but I think the price really is too much for a dorm bed.

The bed was really comfortable. Dorm and bathrooms were very clean and well cared for. Small things like the doors closing quietly and lockers not having a loud beep were great. Lots of small details make it a comfortable restful hostel which is so rare. Kitchen was good and had everything. There is only one small sink in the kitchen which isn't ideal but it's ok. Would recommend.

Shared Toilet and showers were very clean and were cleaned regularly. Air con in room worked great! Bed was comfy, great value for money. Hotel was in a perfect location to everything. It was fringe festival and we were right in the heart of it .

Perfect stay for solo female traveller. Room was clean and pods were comfortable and private. Bathroom was clean. Central location with many activities provided by the hostel.

An ex turned up and was staying at the property. That was very discomforting and meant I couldn’t use the foyer freely. The staff, while preserving that person’s privacy in every way, were aware and very kind about the whole thing, letting me know that if I was feeling under duress I could approach them for help. This was never necessary but the support was appreciated. Also, they need to fix their leaking fridge!

All the boxes ticked - the staff in particular, so very friendly, helpful, supportive. Nothing was too much trouble.
