United KingdomWe loved this traditional hotel, in a perfect position in the town. The room was comfortable and clean. We arrived late in the evening and the receptionist was so welcoming. The hotel is close to the ferry port, beaches, and shops. We hope to go back next year

United KingdomA traditional hotel in a great location by the harbour. Lovely views. Very large airy room with pleasant seating area, more like a suite. Comfortable bed, good bathroom. We were lucky to get one of the few free parking spaces. All the staff we met were helpful and friendly.

United KingdomHad booked a twin room but the bed was set as a double. Staff quickly reconfigured the bed to 2 singles. It does look a bit dated, but no issues with cleanliness. The room made up each day. Adequate supply of tea and coffee in the room. Only down side was a lack of sockets. However USB chargers installed in the reading lamps.

United StatesI've stayed in older hotels in the UK, and I know the quirky layouts that result from adding en suite baths. And in my single room (312 as I recall) the bathroom was huge. But because the sink faced a window, the mirror was to the side - I could shave only half my face without contortions. The weatherstripping on that window didn't seal, and cold air came in faster than the heated towel rack could warm it. And I would have expected the room to have facial tissues and a TV channel guide.
Couldn't ask for a better location. Right at the North Pier, the departure point for my cruise. Great Front Desk staff.
