Spacious room and comfortable big bed. The heating was working well. The bathroom is a bit small but well-equipped. Good price compared to other alternatives closer to the city center but you will have to commute for almost an hour to get there.

Towel rail broken. Room next to the kitchen which was a bit noisy in the morning. No parking on site or on the main road. Read the signs on the side roads before parking.

The decor is exactly like the pics. I was in Room 3 right next to the kitchen and it was a lovely compact room. Well decorated and fluffy towels. Ruth was really helpful.

There was no wifi info provided and no clear way to get this; although was provided after a couple of messages through booking.com. The room was ground floor near the kitchen/lounge space and was exceptionally noisy with people coming and going; a flimsy thin door (and no doubt walls). I imagine less of an issue for upstairs rooms. Unfortunately the bed mattress has seen better days.

Great location from Barking station. The room was simple but elegantly furnished; with in-room heating control and a fan provided too. Excellent large towel also.

Ruth handled everything for me so well. Right from accommodating my request to stay on the ground floor, to offering free washer & dryer use for our clothes, tea & coffee in the kitchen, and helping me feel like this was a home-away-from-home. There is a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster & other cooking facilities in a large kitchen, with attached dining & lounge area. The bedroom & entire living areas are kept spotless & appear recently renovated. The bedding was plush & the heating was warm. I was there 1-4 Dec '24 but I would have stayed longer if I'd had the time. The b&b is just a short easy walk from the train station & the road is lined with an assortment of eateries, a cute pub & also a couple of supermarkets just a 1 minute walk away - even with freshly-baked artisan bread. I felt safe behind a high locked gate & the ground floor windows are kept locked too. I highly recommend this place & thank Ruth for the care with which she oversees things. She is a gem!

We had to ring the bell several times before host opened the door, called on mobile as well and went to voicemail. Spent approx 10 minutes waiting for someone to open. As a suggestion host can ask for an estimated time of arrival after booking. The bed could have been more comfortable as well , although decent one can expect better.

The Room is Very Clean , and Heating is Good - location is close to station.

The host was extremely unpleasant unfortunately. We were late about 1.5 h for the check in, but couldn't manage to contact the facility, her phone was turned off, noone was responding to our messages.. we presented ourselves in front of the door (it was around 23:30) and had to wait about 10 min for someone to let us in and when the host finally got down to meet us she made us feel awfully unwelcome, she seemed not to even know that we were supposed to arrive that day, and there was absolutely no communication from her side on the day of our arrival.

It was a really good little vacation.the owner Ruth was very polite and kind.there wasn't anything bad I could say about my stay.the room was nice, clean and warm.the facilities were all there for u to use no fuss no bother.would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

As said above the damp smell.

the room was clean and the bathroom was also clean. But the room had a damp and musty smell during our stay. A bit disappointed as we had to leave a window open when we went out.
