Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom-can get quite hot on warmer day as it is on the loft -watch the toaster as you can set the fire alarm on when toaster is on number 7;) -check the bed linen for cleaness / freshness
excellent communication with the very helpful host spacious new / modern appartment in a building that undergone total refurbishhment / european - continental modern style private parking place 6 min drive to Eden Project and very close to other close attractions well equipped kitchen, although the oven didn’t work (tried all the switchers with fuses) spacious bathroom but the main shower head had only cold water (Wim Hoff:) small head had hot water though; would benefit from a chair or standing shelves to hang/put your clothes on and towels very quiet at night even with windows open

United KingdomNo complaints!
Modern, spacious and very clean accommodation. The shower was really powerful and hot. We stayed for one night as we were attending a wedding at the Carlyon Bay hotel nearby and this was much better value for money but still very close proximity.

United KingdomThere wasn’t really anything we didn’t like but we would just say that more towels (we were 4 and there was only 3 towels for the shower, luckily we had brought some with us so it wasn’t a big deal) and cutleries/kitchen accessories like more teaspoon as there was only 2 and a colander would have been better.
The place was really clean and modern. Plenty of space for us 4. The owner really put effort in the decorations to make it welcoming! It was easy to find and the fact that there was free parking made it stress free to get to . We will definitely recommend Crows Nest to people and will hopefully come back to stay there if we want to visit more of Cornwall !

United KingdomToo close to main road - front bedroom suffers from traffic noise, although double glazing is decent at least. Front bedroom and bathroom also noticeably cooler than other rooms which were comfortable once up to temp. Small niggles in an otherwise good property.
Location - super close to Eden Project. Newly-finished and clean, modern interior. Most necessities supplied, kitchen relatively well-supplied. Central heating easy to use and mostly effective. Travel cot and highchair provided - very helpful. Earlier check-in was accommodated; as we have an 8month old this was really helpful. Generally very happy with accommodation and customer service. Thanks 👍

United KingdomThe driveway to access the parking spaces is VERY narrow. It is wide enough, but needs some careful driving. Just a FYI!
Crow's Nest was very clean and in good condition. It was fairly close to Eden Project which was our reason for visiting. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The entire place looked great and was very comfortable.

United KingdomA very, very small thing, but perhaps the kitchen could have a couple more utensils to use (eg. cheese grater, baking trays) which would be handy for families like ours with young children who are more likely to self cater.
It was clean, cosy and a great location for exploring the south Cornish coast. Communication with the host was really good.

We had everything we needed for a nice comfortable stay. There is a supermarket just round the corner. It is close to many places we like to visit. Free open WiFi and large TV in each bedroom.

United KingdomOur only minor issue was the the dining table is up high and sat at via stools, which was trickier for our 7 year old as his feet couldn’t touch the floor or the stool foot rest. So initially he was a bit uncomfortable at meal time, but we found a good work around for that (by creating our own makeshift footrest), so not a big issue.
The apartment is spacious and very well furnished, which made it a comfortable stay. Our son spent the first half an hour repeatedly saying how soft and fluffy the carpet was! The layout was great and the little book nook area was quickly adopted by our son as a play area, but due to the open nature of the space it mean he could immerse himself in his game and still be connected to us. There were nice little touches as well, such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits on arrival. Harley (the owner) was very efficient and helpful in pre-stay communications and made a point of speaking to us while we were unloading the car to ensure we knew they were on hand in the event of any problems. We had a very pleasurable stay.

United KingdomBathroom just needs few coathooks/towel rails. Although mop, vacuum cleaner were available from landlord. Handy to have in the flat for use anytime. A few game boards, books in the snug would add to the cosy spot! Although easy to find, some local attraction information/leaflets for newcomers would be helpful. On main road so traffic at night. But great value for money lovely modern apartment made up for it. Car park driveway tight so lucky we took our smaller car.
Modern fully furnished flat in ideal.location to all beaches, attractions & amenities. Complimentary welcome bits were appreciated on arrival! Very family friendly. Top places:Charlestown (good restaurants), Carlyon Bay (lively music, good food), Pentewan Beach, Heligan Gardens.

AustraliaTwo double beds wasn't optimal for our family of two adults and two children, having another single bed available would have been useful (or even a foldaway single bed) given there is plenty of space in the bedrooms and sitting nook.
Recently renovated and spacious apartment which was very well equipped including washing machine, dryer, oven and full sized fridge with freezer. Quiet location, on-site parking and wifi worked well. Very close to visit the Eden Project. We enjoyed a stroll down Rundles Walk and around St Andrews Pond and Nature Reserve. Harley was a friendly host and communicated well.
