Car park was a Bit small ,and the Road was busy during rush hour but we knew that When we booked, so to be expected but road noise wasn't an issue and it is in a built up area which we knew, we had asked ahead about car park so not a shock.

Breakfast was Fine continental type, Evening Meal in the Pub was great, the staff were just the Right kind of attentive Level, Rooms were nicely done out, Very comfy Double Bed, the others had twin rooms Great stop off point for a bunch of Middle age motorcyclists enroute to the Lakes.

Room was very dark and disappointing. Needed brightening up and a refurb. Net curtains looked dirty because of dull colour. Bathroom large but needed a refurb as seal all round bath coming off and looked tatty.

Lovely large room with well stocked fridge with free wine, beer, water and milk. Breakfast hamper good in morning and well stocked tea/coffee tray. Large comfortable bed and large tv with lots of free channels. Nice fluffy white towels.

Creaky door to upper outside patio.

Highly recommend. We had the best sleep ever and I am a light sleeper. 10 minute walk to centre or cab £4 quid ish. Beautiful furniture, bathrooms. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our bedroom was comfortable, however, it was at the front of the building overlooking a main road. The traffic was busy in the evening, and thankfully quiet overnight, however, it became busy again the following morning. If we stayed again, I would ask for a room at the rear of the building.

Great staff with a very warm welcome - fabulous Lancashire breakfast, and a comfortable en-suite room with complimentary drinks and nibbles - which was very much appreciated. The breakfast room, which is the pub's dining room has a fabulous view over the valley. The staff make the Eagle and Child a great place to stay - they have such a positive attitude and go the extra mile to welcome guests.

The room was incredible, the food was incredible and the staff were excellent. The gentleman who was running breakfast on Saturday morning went above and beyond and is a credit to this place.

We came up to visit family so we had a look around nearby for places to stay. This jumped out straight away due to the location and the added bonus of the pub underneath! We stayed in the room Tawny Owl and the view of Ramsbottom was absolutely gorgeous to wake up to each morning. A continental breakfast was delivered to our door so that was a lovely added touch and a mini fridge with a bottle of prosecco and beer along with some fruit juices to enjoy aswell. The room was spacious, bed super cosy and massive! Bathroom was sizable also, with the option to have a bath or shower. The room was spotless when we checked in and remained that way as they popped in to freshen it up when we went out. Tea and coffee were replenished every day along with fresh milk and nothing was too much for the staff there. So friendly and happy to help with anything we needed, they really made our stay that much more relaxing and comfortable. I didnt get any names but even when we popped down to the bar each day for a drink, the bar staff were inviting and happy to have a chat/check that we were alright and if we needed anything. It was our first time traveling up and staying in the area and it was definitely made that much better by staying here. 100% will be staying again!

The breakfast: a breakfast hamper left at the door of cereal, croissant and out of date fruit juice. My partner called in advance to let them know it was my birthday but there was no acknowledgement of my birthday.
