Nothing special to report. Not all gates are available by the key.

The staff is indeed available at night and very helpful. No problem to check in even at 2am. Very nice and clean campus and easy access to the city centre either by buses or by walk. Many bars and shops are reachable nearby. Ironing and Washing devices are available. Good breakfest. Hiking activities into the Arthur's Seat just around the corner.

    No hairdryer in the room

Location & cleanliness, breakfast,if somewhat chaotic as there were so many people was excellent. Everything you could want & more. Very fresh & plentiful! The fire alarm going off at 12:30 am rather spoilt the first night - apparently hairspray triggered it?!

Alcohol prices in the bar extortionate. Parking was very limited . Couldn't take my car out incase I lost my parking spot. No back entrance to the block I was in so luggage had to be carried a long way to the room.

    The food.

It was a dorm room, so I had a dorm bed. The metal frame made a lot of noise. Breakfast is utter chaos. Tons of middle aged and older tourists wondering around confused in a university dining hall. Often out of juice. Coffee machines went down often-exacerbating the confusion of the older guests and causing longer lines.

The rooms were very neat and clean. I liked the location - close to Holyrood Park and walkable to the city center. The neighborhood also has a lot to do. The staff were great.

Breakfast plenty choice however much was only lukewarm. Grounds were beautiful. Reception staff helpful and friendly but extremely slow checking in process when all details had previously been completed when doing the online booking.

A little worn down in the room. The decor was faded, all in need of a deep clean/refurb. The lift, in Chancellors Court, seemed to have a mind of its own sometimes.

Nicely laid out. The gardens were exceptional. The meal facilities were great, unlimited breakfast buffet, with a wide choice of food and drink. Very friendly staff, in all departments. Laundry facilities were excellent. Public transport, to, and from, the city was great.

A little confusing how to navigate the security card system. Some doors didn't respond to being swiped. Breakfast is very much a free for all and can be overwhelming with the throng of people

The convenience of being close to the city centre. Great setting and surroundings very well maintained

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. Facilities in bedroom could be nicer. We had a fire alarm in the middle of the night which wasn’t ideal - there wasn’t anyone of authority there to organise it and tell us what was going on. This could be better if the fire alarm goes off again.

I liked the breakfast it was great! The location was good to get into the city centre and value for money is good.

Great accommodation at the university. Worth noting that hairdryers need to be hired from reception. Loved the breakfast buffet provided, very traditional English breakfast. The residency coincided with the Edinburgh Festival and it seemed like a lot of artists were staying here as well, and there were times when you could see some of the rehearsals.

Compared to other accommodation in Scotland it was very expensive. Presumably because of Edinburgh festival. Also the lift didn’t work.

Compared to other accommodation in Edinburgh very well priced. Fantastic breakfast
