Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomIt was a little far out but I walked to the Station once, used the bus once and taxis as well. There was some expense involved in this.
I felt I was in a safe environment with the room being perfectly good for my stay, being a performer at the Fringe Festival. The food at breakfast was as good as a 4 star hotel and I had one main meal late afternoon which was just as good and it’s availability was ideal before my evening performance.

United KingdomThe element in the kettle was black and bits kept coming off it!!! There was no available hairdryer to borrow when I asked and so couldn't wash my hair on the day I wanted to. I think the cleaning in the room could have been at a higher standard. Under the beds and in corners were not clean.
The location was good because of the available buses and also the lovely landscape nearby. I like the help yourself style breakfast.

SpainCleanliness standards have plummeted since 2017!! Cleaning takes place once EVERY SIX DAYS!! Ran out of toilet paper on our second night. No shampoo available not even at reception. Toilet had a urine smell and there was dust all over the table. Remarkably disappointed since I used to come here every Fringe… will not in the future.

BelgiumPlease add a glass to the rooms that we could use to drink water during the night. I woke up parched and realised I had no means of drinking water than by drinking from my hand. It could be a paper cup, just any cup honestly.
Absolutely loved the vibe at the accommodation, there were many people from all over the world popping up daily. Breakfast was absolutely fabulous and I also tried dinner on one evening and it was superb. Definitely would stay there again, great value for money. Plus, the staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. Not far from the city centre, took me 20 minutes on foot.

United StatesI was assigned a room with a bathroom that did not seem to have been cleaned. The shower had a leak. It looked like someone, maybe housekeeping, came jn when I was out and ran the taps. When I came back at night the water ran out. They gave me a new room within an hour. No issues in the new room. However, the elevator was out in the building. I had to carry heavy luggage up and down. So it wasn’t pleasant.

CanadaI was assigned a fourth floor room in a building where the elevator was broken. They kept saying it would be fixed in a day or two. It never was. If you are a 20 year old student. Might not matter. I’m not. Stairwell was filthy. Had never been swept or mopped. Even the handrails were sticky. Ugh. Bar does not accept cash. Location far from everything. Had to get taxis and Ubers everywhere. An added cost I wasn’t expecting.
