    Everything was perfect!

The property grounds are very beautiful, I took my son to watch the Manchester United match at the Murrayfield stadium. He enjoyed exploring the grounds since we’d settled in. The room was spacious, and immediately clean. Our beds were very comfortable also. The breakfast was brilliant, there is literally something for everyone. Should you need assistance from the staff, they are happy to help very polite and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place, and I will try to stay here again once we revisit. Five stars from my 11 year old son too.

The only downside, depending on how you feel is that it’s a little removed from the city center, but that’s the trade off you make for the price, right?

Property has everything you need as a solo traveler! Good wi-fi, warm clean bed, hot shower. The staff are very courteous and kind. They were able to hold my luggage for me even though I arrived before check-in.

I had to fight to get a key to the ‘pantry’ where the fridge is (even though it said this was available on their website). Our window wouldn’t shut and the fan in the bathroom was broken. No plant milk at breakfast the day we arrived

Basic rooms but the buildings were modern and clean. We had access to a fridge and there was a kettle in the room. Beds were comfy. Lots of people around but our corridor was v quiet. Amazing views of Arthur’s Seat from our window. Big breakfast buffet

TV remote batteries had worn out Maybe a note to say to try and avoid peak-time breakfasts, (8.15 - 9a.m in our case) I was so frightengly busy we 3 separated to choose and then ate alone as we could not find each other in the vastness after difficulty finding anywhere to sit ( it was a very good breakfast)

The setting;- grounds, greenery, meandering pathway, , demi hidden small parking spaces Clean rooms, comfortable mattresses Superb, friendly, helpful staff at reception; informative re questions about taxis, eating places, distance from places etc. The shop, quality of breakfast

My room smelt of urine. I complained several times both to cleaners and staff at reception desk. I was actually woken up by a smell of urine wafting from the bathroom (Room 1015). My wife and daughter had a room which was noisy through the night (room 1016) due to a group of young people staying there at the same time who were still up after midnight.

Having stayed there twice, it really depends on the building they put you in. Some rooms are much better than others while you pay for the same thing. First time at the Grant House, the bed was very high and sturdy, while the second time that I was at the Ewing House, it was low and squeaky. Pillows were as thin as paper, too. Window didn't close properly and I was on the ground floor. Grant didn't have any of that, therefore the second time my expectations were not met.

Very convenient and quiet as a location. Mattress was comfy enough and wifi was very fast.

Our stay apparently coincided with the start of summer language courses, which meant that the premises were packed with hundreds of teenagers from various countries. Very noisy in general and somewhat chaotic breakfasts :)

Good value for money, given the generally high rates in Edinburgh The room, including beds and bathroom, were ok Frequent bus connection to city center Breakfast included Friendly staff

Do not choose this as an option if you are an adult. 1 step up from group hostel so very overpriced for what they offer. No air flow from 1 small window that only opens 3 inches. The beds are terrible, the pillows are terrible, the linens are terrible, I really didn't sleep well the 5 nights I stayed there. In fact I left 2 days early. It is very noisy with the sound echoing up to the room at all hours. Full of groups of kids of all ages. Edinburgh is a great city, but this was the worst choice for accommodation.

There isn’t one thing that was a disappointment. It exceeded my expectations with a beautiful view, a friendly and informative staff at reception.

The breakfast was beyond amazing. An excellent choice of food. Healthy options. I particularly appreciated gluten free options. It was a very enjoyable experience.

It's just your average student accommodation. Nothing more, nothing less.

Even though I was leaving before breakfast was served I still got decent pre packed breakfast set on my way out, also thanks to the fact that reception is open 24 hours

Not a good stay if you want to get some sleep at night. The closing of the doors is very loud and night and as many people go in and out you wake up a lot.. The bathroom facilities were not clean and there was no soap and towels... You could not open the windows completely so there was always a smell inside the room... Would not go there again.

We had an absolutely lovely time. The breakfast was such a great way to start each day, and the staff was kind enough to let us store our luggage for a few hours after check out. We appreciated the cleanliness of the campus and the view from our room was stunning. It’s a peaceful location within reasonable walking distance to the city center, and the room was cozy. We would absolutely recommend staying here.
