Lovely location, well staffed, basic and adequate room, great value for money, highly recommended.

Bed is very soft, not too comfortable for sleeping.

Accommodation is located in beautiful grounds, easily accessible by public transport. Room is small but adequately furnished, bed is single and soft, reasonably comfortable. Room was spotless and bright with small sink. Shared toilet and shower in hallway, easily accessible. Elevator to all four floors. In the grounds there are eating places - pub type and restaurant. Reception area well staffed, staff are pleasant and efficient. Overall excellent set up.

There is a shop but was closed the morning I was looking for a bottle of water. No water in the vending machine either. Although the area seemed very safe, I wouldn't walk late at night from the bustop on my own the only reason being that the area is very quiet. But would definitely recommend this accommodation and would stay here again.

It was easy to get into the city, about 25 minutes to walk or about 15 minutes on the bus (bus stop around the corner). Staff were friendly and the breakfast was exceptional (far better than the majority of hotels I've stayed in) . Especially loved the fact that vegetarian sausages and haggis were available as standard. Beautiful scenery of Arthur's seat right beside it.

Breakfast can be very busy if timed with a big school or tour group

It is set in a lovely location a bit of of town (1.2km) and at the foot of Arthur's Seat, which was great to explore and we found local pubs and eateries. The room (twin) was large and very comfortable and nice ensuite. Breakfast was fab!

As its a student accommodation, rooms were old. The bed was making noises and also you could hear everything from outside- people coming into their rooms, wc ect. Doors were loud and kept me awake. The bathroom was old as well..clean tho.

The breakfast was really good!! Great variety and tasty! It was around 20mins far from city centre

You need to pack your own toiletries and kitchen in the bar closes early. It’s just something to keep in mind.

I needed an economical place to sleep between my layover. You’re basically staying in a dorm and it’s clean and you have your own room with a sink.

We did have to take the bus to go to the centre. But they were right outside campus and the drive not long. It worked well with the ticket app.

The rooms were like a hotel room with twin beds, and the beds were really comfy. Also nice pillows. I liked the view and the breakfast and the value for money and the friendliness of the staff. Nice touch that the reception is available 24/7 even though these are actually dorm rooms

There is no good sound-isolation, so from 7.30am there are some noises (doors were opening and closing). Also, the boiler (teapot) was very old, the toilet was not clean enough and there was some strange smell (it wasn't very strong, but still) in the room

There were all that is nessasary to spend a night. Good location, amazing Scottish breakfast.

Nothing really at this price level

Price, location, very good breakfast. As it’s a students’ accommodation, the room is fairly basic, but clean and has comfortable beds. It was quiet during the night

I am rating 9, as this exceeded our expectations and provides good value for the money. The staff was lovely and available to help, which I greatly appreciate. The location was really nice – peaceful but also close to the center, and the room had a wonderful view on Arthur's seat. The breakfast was also really good. The room did have a slightly funny smell, but overall, it was really pleasant, and I would stay again.

Although clean it was a little tired/ basic.

Great location, staff very friendly. Breakfast huge . Places to eat on site and grounds are well kept. Room was pleasant and had Tv and tea making facilities. The pantry at end of corridor was spacious so could have been useful if staying longer. The bedroom was basic but comfortable. Great value for Edinburgh though. We were there for our daughters graduation and it Was easy to get around from the estate to Town.

I understand not everybody is conscious about their actions but I didn't like the "slamming doors" at all, specially from 11 pm onwards. It was very loud and very annoying being asleep and be awaken by a slamming door several times during the night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome offering lots of options. The location was great, 5 minute walk to Arthur's Seat starting point and about 20-30 minute walk to the city center. It's a quiet area if you're not a big fan of crowds and noise in the city. The bar was a cool place to wind down after your day. The room size was good and quiet with great views of Arthur's Seat.

The bed pillows were too large and stiff. This left me with neck pain every morning. The bed frame itself was unstable and would shift about and make noise.

    Convenient. Good value.

Queuing system for check in and check out could be very easily improved. Check in staff and managers too young and inexperienced. Breakfast plentiful but sausages and bacon were inedible. Pancakes were ultra processed and not fresh. Collection of stored luggage was not efficient at all. Hundred of young teen kids on campus. Noisy workmen at adjacent building. Window cleaning at 9am! No soap provided!
