How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We had a pizza and chips could have been better the pizza wasn’t quite crispy enough for us

Shampoo, shower gel not refilled. Protective film covering bath fascia half taken off which looked really messy. Only one sachet of coffee in room, which seems like these were not topped up prior to our arrival. Spiders in corners of room, which again speaks to the room not being properly cleaned
Pool, Sauna and Steam room were good. Staff friendly. Food was ok.

The cleanliness was very poor. The Spa area needed a deep clean. The bedroom was dated and also some aspects of the cleaning were not good.

we were disappointed with the food service in the evening, we are told that bar meal service was at 7 30pm but when we went to order our meals we were told that they prioritised diners in the restaurant and that we would have to wait, we eventually ordered at 8pm but we didn't actually eat until around 8 45pm as they mislaid our orders we had a 7 year old with us it was hard to explain to him that the staff didn't think we were a priority

We could hear people walking through the corridor as the floors are very creaky but I guess you’re always going to get that at hotels!
Given it was so reasonably priced I expected it to be very budget but it exceeded my expectations massively! The staff were lovely, 24 hour reception which was good for checking in after a wedding, the room was huge with lovely comfy beds and tea making facilities. In the morning I went to the pool and was pleasantly surprised again, it’s lovely, lots of little jacuzzis and a sauna and steam room too, as well as a gym and squash court. We had the buffet breakfast which was really well organised and lots of variety. I will definitely stay again if in the area!

Having paid for an Executive room it was most disappointing. No fridge, no shaver point in the bathroom, no toilet brush and no pleasent bathroom toiletries just a basic 'fixed' bottle of wash and shampoo. Acceptable for a standard room but not what is expected for an Executive room. Having requested room to be serviced on one day, it wasn't, not even the rubbish removed.
Breakfast was standard for a large hotel. Good but not special. Dinner was better, food and presentation was good. A quiet location which was appreciated.

Sadly there isn't any AC throughout any of the rooms and we stayed in a downstairs family room and it was hot! As you walk down the stairs you can feel the heat before you even get to the room, maybe the boiler is situated there? We had a nice big fan waiting for us in the room, which helped.
Staff were helpful and friendly especially Josh whom deserves a special mention for being so good at his job and so lovely. The rooms are nice beds comfortable, hotel decor looks good and the spa was our favourite. We loved the pool sauna and steam and used it well. We would definitely return to this hotel.

I booked a standard room which I have a picture of and when I saw my room it was for a disabled person. I went to reception and asked for another room, but was told not many rooms because of big party of people had arrived. I the end was given a room but couldn't turn the shower off and couldn't have a bath .

No air conditioner and the window could only open about 5cm. This room was a sauna. You are provided a fan that just moves hot air around.
