Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomthe single room is tiny, likely a previous treatment room, with a folding bed with a soft mattress and little space. The garden view is through a dirty window over an unkempt garden and the meadows further off. Not sure when it was last vacuumed, dusted or cleaned of cobwebs. the whole house (it's a private house, although it was called Heart of Worcester when I booked) has the same untidy feel about it. In addition, it was an ice-box. There was an electric heater in the room, but the rest of the place was freezing, toilet and bathroom included. The shared toilet was not clean when I moved in and it was not cleaned during my 2-night stay, despite the welcome information in the room stating that it's checked daily. Cannot comment about the other rooms, but I would not recommend the single room.
Location, hot shower.

United KingdomI really wish time had allowed to stay longer.
We didn't see our landlady, but we felt her prescence with a warm welcone message. The house is lovely and the room superb. The decor charming throughout the house. Excellent cleanliness. And little personal touches that shows a lot of thought has gone into making guests feel welcome.

United KingdomEverything I have raised a detailed complaint & she refused to give us a full refund even though we decided not to stay in the property due to the cleanliness see images for evidence We were due to stay at this property on Friday 24th June for 1 night for 5 adults however some of the group dropped out last minute so there were only 3 adults to which we communicate this to the host. When we arrived at the property, we were able to gain access however as we had paid for 5 adults, we were under the impression that we had both rooms. Upon entering the room, we found that it was filthy to which we have taken pictures to indicate this, My friend suffers with asthma & hay fever to which had to take antihistamines & we were only there for 30 minutes. My other friend was using the room across the hallway which we believed to be our 2nd room to get changed into when another customer walked in on her in her underwear & said It was her room please see below booking confirmation which states we had booked 2 rooms, as mentioned previously we did notify the host there were only 3 adults for sleeping however as per our booking confirmation below we had paid for 5 adults 2 rooms. Shortly after leaving we received a text message which she takes no responsibility at all see image of text After all of this we decided to leave the property & we came across the owner who introduced herself as Jennifer. My friend returned the keys to her & notified her of our concerns to which I work within the hotel industry & so do my friends we would not allow this property to go out to customers in this state. I am shocked & embarrassed that I had to bring my friends to this property along with disappointed that Booking.com has this listed as one of there properties.
Nothing this property is not fit to be rented out for anyone!!!! AVOID!!!!!! I didn't want to write a review like this as I know how impactful it can be to business however we tried to rectify this with the owner & she refused to take any responsibility & we had to pay for this shambles of an experience

United KingdomI booked a room with my own bathroom which should have been on the ground floor. When I got there I put upstairs but it didn't have its own bathroom. I had to share with a man on the same landing as me. The toilet and bathroom were down two small flights of stairs. His room HAD a television in it. Mine DIDN'T, not even a radio. THIS IS NOT WHAT I ORDERED. SO I WOULD LIKE SOME REFUND. I am 77 years old, and I like my own bathroom.
No breakfast was provided. It was a room only place.

United KingdomI thought the room had its own toilet and shower. Fortunately for me, there were no other guests staying at the time. I think the room description on booking.com was inaccurate. When I opened the door into the garage (main access point) I was taken aback by the overwhelming smell of damp. The view through the dirty and steamed up bedroom window was into a neglected garden. It was a bit depressing.
Good communication with Jennifer. Property was very central to Worcester and therefore ideal for visiting the city. I liked the fact I could park my car on the drive and was able to leave my bike in the property rather than leave it on the driveway overnight. I liked the use of a kettle but without a sink in the room, it meant getting water from the handbasin in the lavatory which was separate to the room. Jennifer asked if I needed fresh milk which was also appreciated.

United KingdomNot having the name of the property outside. The fact there was no one at reception when I was told that I was arriving during the accepted hours. Having to find my own way around the place as no one was there to explain everything. Fortunately there was a lovely neighbour who was a great help. I had had a long hot journey with problems and am 84! It was a struggle getting upstairs for a shower! No milk for my tea and coffee. The fridge was open and empty . Room had a nice view but was very small
Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Nice biscuits and an interesting wrapped pancake to eat! Very quiet.

United KingdomThe room was a little unclean, there was mildew on the windows and a lot of cobwebs and a few dead flies under the desk. The toilet is separate and I was unable to lock the door, I think eventually I did lock the door but there was certainly some doubt.
The accommodation was easy to find with the large purple garage doors. Sainsburys is a five minute walk away. Checking in was very quick and easy, comfortable bed. Good internet connection and a very quiet room :)

SwitzerlandI was expecting a private room but it did not really feel private because the walls were really thin and the crack under the door was rather big, which resulted in me hearing the person in the room next to me snoring at night etc (just like in a shared bedroom) and I knew that she could hear everything I was doing as well. Furthermore the floor makes loud noises everytime the person in the other room stands up/walks…
I liked the view out the window and Jennifer was a nice host

United Kingdommaybe an easier lock on the door, so when waking in the night you can go to the toilet with a bit more ease.
