The host welcomed us warmly. The flat is perfectly located to discover the surroundings (Loch Ness, and Glen Affric). The river close to the property is perfect to enjoy the evening, as well as the fire place in the flat.

The property was perfect for our overnight stay. The room was comfortable, as was the bed and we had magical views. Breakfast was delicious.

Location was beautiful. The cabin had everything you needed. Staff on hand if needed but never encroached on privacy. Take-away's, restaurant 's all provided for in lively welcoming vook. Wood burner great. Very clean. Perfect place to relax.

Only feedback that I could give is that I booked for two adults and one 9 year old. After reading carefully I saw there was one bed and only a cot bed for children. This is not practical for a child over the age of approx 2-3. I messaged and Catherine was very accommodating and provided bedding for the sofa, so all was fine but worth bearing in mind if booking with a child. My daughter was very comfortable though!

Fabulous location, little home from home. Clean, had lots of consumables which was a lovely touch. My daughter loved the swing set at the bottom of the garden and the beautiful river and hillside view.

Lovely cottage, log burner made it nice and toasty. Pet friendly. John was very nice and on hand if we needed anything. The walk beside the river was great for the dog.

Location was excellent, really close to Loch Ness and being able to explore the beautiful area. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could have needed to cook. We especially loved the log burner which was so welcomed after a day out exploring. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was a great size.

Beautiful cosy little house in the most beautiful location! The wee walk down to the river is a must, very peaceful. On a clear night the entire sky is lit up with stars. Lovely hosts too!

There was nothing not to like!

Great location just outside Drumnadrochit, easy access to shops and cafes. The cottage is fabulous, cosy and yet spacious, warm and well equipped. It was the perfect hideaway for the two of us. The hosts were welcoming and brought us a basket of logs for the log burner but then left us to our own devices. The jar of Tunnocks tea cakes to welcome us was a fabulous touch, especially after our long journey. We loved our couple of nights here, thank you.

Herons Rest was a lovely place to stay after touring the area..Very clean and everything you need is available..Village is a mile away ,so very handy for food,etc.Tea,coffee and a lot of the basics are supplied and a jar of tunnicks teacakes was a lovely touch..Will definitely stay again if I'm ever in the area

The location was perfect for where we wanted to explore , only a couple of hours and you’re at Glencoe! The property was comfy and clean with a sturdy gate to ensure toddler and dog couldn’t escape . Heating was good , using the stove was easy and effective. Kitchen had everything you needed, Sitting having a croissant and coffee by the rapid burn in the morning was very special indeed great atmosphere down there. My cockapoo was made to feel welcome too. Recommend the local Chinese takeaway!
