Breakfast was, at best, average. Microwaved porridge, cooked breakfast using supermarket frozen items. Restaurant wasn’t open. Room was basically clean, but only just. Cost for a very small room of average quality was too much.

TV didn't work but I didn't even report it as free WiFi excellent speed and I had tablet with me. Rooms up quite steep stairs.

Right on harbour. Easy free parking at front. Clean room with tea/coffee making. Nice shops and galleries to wander round nearby. Good cooked breakfast to order.

I visited with my son on a short cycle trip. I loved the location on the harbour-front of this lovely Scottish town. The room was small and simple but excellent for us. I thought that the accommodation combined with the included breakfast was very good value indeed. The staff were very friendly, the owner very hands-on but unobtrusive. When I checked in the lady asked if it was just for the one night and I immediately wished it was for more. Highly recommended.

The room was above a live band and the smoking area. The music was so loud we couldn’t even relax let alone sleep. The smell of cigarettes was disgusting. We wanted breakfast at 7.30 and were told this was impossible.

It’s a pretty town with a lovely harbour near the Kennacraig ferry.

Didn't expect the shared bathroom rooms to have one bathroom between four bedrooms. For this service I would expect to pay a much lower fee than what we paid. All the doors are really noisy and could do with some WD40. The room we stayed in also was right next to the toilet and every time it was flushed, it's as if we were in the room. Also to point out the bedside lights did not work.

Pub downstairs seemed cheery and friendly staff. Easy parking. Nice view.

Only thing was that it can get a little warm in the upper floor rooms - a couple of extra portable fans for the summer evenings would do the trick :)

Lovely hotel, great price - cannot fault it in any way. Bar is lovely, staff are very friendly. Rooms are fairly basic with shared bathrooms, but given the low prices, this still represents excellent value.
