Nothing wrong with hotel.

Everything about the hotel was a old hotel with character. It's not a 5star hotel so don't if you book don't expect a 5 star room. If you wanted that then there's hotels in oban that you can get. But what you get is value for money. Room was comfortable (24) great view over the sea yes there walls outside but the veiw towards Atlantic is fantastic. You had a ensuite with aduiqate shower facilities. Staff was friendly. Welcoming. Great location out of the bustle of the Town centre but close enough to walk. Within about 10 mins stroll you were at the ferry terminal. Breakfast was plentiful had a good choice. Definitely book here again.

Lovely, friendly girl welcomed me at reception and nice man the next day who stored a bag for me as I had booked an extra night. Great location Good atmosphere Would go back!

The light in the toilet was so dull it was a waste of time using it the complimentry shampoo was empty room could do with a deep clean as previous guests litter under bed was still there a lot of dust n general grime breakfast was ok but missing beans and every time i went to bar for a drink the barmade was either on her phone or playing pool i waited 12 mins to get served after that chose to go else where

Hotel bit dated food left a lot to be desired the good thing was the outstanding beautiful panoramic view from window oban is and always will be a special place to us and as hotels go you live and learn

1. mouldy bathroom 2. terrible beds - all springs poking through and so sore to turn in the bed - had to use the pillows as a mattress topper. hardly slept. honestly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in 3. very dated and rusty furniture in the bedroom 4. loo didn’t flush properly 5. shower very weak, with thin plastic shower curtain 6. very thin curtains which let the light in 7. thin walls and could hear the snoring from next door

only redeeming factor was the staff who were friendly

Location on the esplanade yet still quiet was good, and potentially free parking. Breakfast good.

The tv mounted on the wall was difficult to see. In the end, we watched something on our laptop. No a big dea.

We read the reviews and were prepared for something "old fashioned". We found it to be very charming and had a great vibe. The staff and other visitors were really friendly. We loved the views. We loved that the hotel accommodated our dog. The breakfast was exceptionally good.

The bathroom was small when using the toilet your legs were under the sink and your chin over the sink. Shower was extremely small. Chairs in the room were dirty and worn out as well as the ones in the lounge area. The hotel has no wifi in the rooms only in lounge area. The place needs to be updated as the wear and tear is really showing. Parking is tight.

The location is just off downtown and right on the waterfront. Food was okay.

Lack of staff. The owner is taking advantage the location of the property but didn’t invest the facilities of the hotel in short very greedy.

The location is good and the breakfast however during the night we ordered 2 cheese burgers and it was totally burned and hard!!

Room was terrible, I booked a Seaview room and when I landed I was put into a broom closet at the back of the hotel. The TV was the size of an ipad. The bed was like something front the 1970s. My advice is to stay clear

Although the rooms are a blast from the past(60/70's decor) everything was clean and tidy.So heh ho for the little amount of time you spend in the room and the price compared to other hotels it's fine.

Fabulous location with beautiful view of the bay from the reception and breakfast room. Tea and coffee in room is always good to have. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again..

No lift. No residents bar. No food. Too many dogs in the hotel.

No space in the car park on arrival. Luckily it was quite late and I parked along the sea front without having to pay parking.

No denying that it feels like travelling back in time 50 years when walking into the Lancaster. For me it was all part of the charm but I can see why some people my not like the dated decor. Staff very friendly and excellent location and very reasonable prices
