Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomGood location If your travelling by car. Everything you would expect for this low price such as small bed and tiny TV but you get your own bathroom. The whole place is outdated so you might not feel comfortable with it. (Personally I did not feel comfortable showering here) At least the place is clean and you get all the toiletries etc. Good for single travellers. Make sure you bring Some sort of ID or proof of your address or something that proves who you are. Other than that the staff were cool and helpful.

United KingdomThe décor is very outdated and makes the rooms look unclean, for the price of £56 there are much better options in that part of Manchester. There was no lamp by the bedside only a ceiling light in the room and bathroom. Couldn't turn the heating down but there was a large window that could be opened to let some air in.
Hotel with 2 stars so wasn't expecting it to be anything special. The owner was present to check me in and was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tired and out dated but they are clean and the bed comfortable enough. The bedding was nice and clean but the towels could do with replacing. The hotel has a small carpark right in front of the door and it is very close to shops and places for food. The room I stayed in was quiet.

United KingdomIt was very dated and a little run down. The room was very small and quite claustrophobic and the bed was really creaky and on the brink of breaking, all I did was sit on it and it sounded like it was snapping. The man running the reception was a little bit intimidating, I felt very judged. We also felt a little nervous when we came in to go back to our rooms after a night out, we were very tired and even though he had seen us multiple times during the day he demanded to know what room we were staying in which was a little weird? The booking in process was also quite stressful. He asked for my name ( which is obviously standard), I told him and had my ID and booking number ready. It took him ages to understand what my name was even after showing him my ID and offering to show him my confirmation booking email.
It was clean and in a good location. I also liked that you could cast to the tvs in the rooms to use stuff like Netflix/youtube. Coffee and tea amenities were well stocked as well as things like towels/soaps etc. Another good thing was the security, you needed a door code to access the actual rooms and I felt very safe here!

United KingdomThe rooms were very hot, even with the barred windows open. The radiators were on 24/7 while we were there. There was some fuss given to if you try and get into the hotel after midnight you had to ring a mobile number for them to open the door…?? They also said if we left the hotel after midnight we would not be allowed back in? Considering we were on a night out this was slightly concerning. Stranger still was the fact we got back at 3am to find a man sat on reception and the door open, so I’m not sure what the whole phone number thing was about??
The rooms were basic and old-fashioned, but clean and comfortable. Reception was helpful, but not friendly and the whole process was relatively easy.

United KingdomFor the price it was pretty good considering how close to Manchester City centre it was. The room was warm and clean enough. It was no frill but did the job. It was actually very quiet considering the location.

You get what you pay for. I chose this hotel for its location and cheap( er) price. It is very basic but the room was clean and the bed comfy. The ‘view’ from the room is of a garage wall. I was not going to spend much time ‘awake’ in the room so didn’t mind the lack of a view.

United KingdomMore of a hostel than hotel. None of the comforts and warmth of a hotel apparent. The place felt rather down at heel with deteriorating decor, but in fairness the bedding and towels were clean, there was a TV, free wifi and tea and coffee. It cost me £40 for the night and frankly I just slept there and left. I didn't feel unsafe, but I couldn't imagine bringing a family with children there or being a solo traveller who felt vulnerable. Spend a bit more and get more comfort say in a B&B. I stayed there to watch Manchester United but the big name chains (Premier Inn and Travelodge) situated locally (in the Greater Manchester area) price surge on match days with prices up to £100- £150 per night for room that might be normally be £60-80. Hence this hotel, so you get what you pay for.
Location was great. Quite a vibey student area with shops, places to eat and a decent pub nearby. Also plenty of buses to MCR city centre or south to Didsbury. Staff there were okay and helpful.
