    Absolutely nothing!!

Our stay at Loch Aweside Forest Cabins was everything we hoped it would be and more. The cabin was clean and homely, with everything we could have possibly needed during our stay. Our children loved their bedrooms and the hot tub! The location was amazing, the site was clean and peaceful, and the cabin's wonderful supply of books and games provided the fantastic foundation for a perfect family holiday. Thank you SO much!

N/a everything we needed was available

Booked a 2 night stay for our sons 16th as he just wanted a quiet fishing trip. Sadly didn't catch any fish but we had the loveliest family break. Such a beautiful cabin with stunning views. Amenities where fab and the place was cosy (the log fire helped this) bird food was even provided so you can fill the feeders and watch the many birds that came to visit. Lovely cafe and shop just at the end of the site and a restaurant serving lovely food too in the centre. Would definitely book again

The water pressure in the shower was a bit lacklustre but wasn’t particularly bothersome, we also couldn’t get the side door to lock at night we’re unsure if the lock was dodgy or if it was just human error, but that was my only issue.

It was spacious, warm, we had a large tv that must have been upgraded since the photos were taken which was a nice surprise. The hot tub was brilliant, and it felt very private and secluded at night as there was no overhead lights to shine on us. The log fire was great and overall the facilities were fantastic.

We went in winter so the hot tub needed all the wood we were given to get it up to temperature on the first night, then had to buy 3 more bags.

Amazing location, plenty to do and see near by and loved the lodge. Hot tub was great once it was up to temperature.

Be prepared for the road to the site. This information should not detract you from the amazing Cabin, the beautiful Loch Awe, the village of Dalavich, the scenery etc. but you have to bear in mind that depending on which direction you travel from the last 12 to 15 miles is a single track road with passing places which takes 25 to 30 minutes to drive. If you do it in the dark it is frightening, if you are in anyway car sick it's gonna get you, so the best advice is to prepare really well. Try and take as many of the provisions you will need to avoid having to keep travelling out to the bigger towns. It should be celebrated how remote this place is, this is why I went there, you can switch off from the outside world and really relax, but if you are planning on travelling everyday you have to plan this in...

The beds were so comfortable nobody wanted to get up in morning. The heating was incredibly efficient and the cabin was always toasty (we stayed over Christmas btw). The cabin was the furthest North on the site so we were able to step out of the cabin and straight into the forest with the dogs. Just a couple of minutes walk to the Loch's edge or up into the hills it was great. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils a family could need. The little fireside area outside was a nice touch. If you like being near to or on the water, fishing, hiking or just hiding away it's perfect....
