How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Bathroom was a bit small. Tiny sink and limited storage. Lack of lift for some rooms could be an issue. Was a problem getting out of the pay and display car park due to other cars (all parked properly as well!)
Nicely decorated. Lovely aroma in the room. Bar & breakfast. Convenient location. Car park. 10 mins walk to the town centre.

My only gripe would be the £15 a day parking. I was never there for more than 8 hours, yet still had to pay for a full day.
The rooms were well decorated and clean. The staff were bright, cheerful and helpful. They even called me when they found my necklace that I had left in the room. Bed was very comfortable and the tea/coffee station with snacks was very welcome after a long day!

Nothing at all!
We love staying here, this was my 4th time as we visit our daughter frequently who is a student. This time we had a free upgrade too. We also brought with us a home made birthday cake for my daughter which needed to stay chilled. Both Scarlet and Ashish are exceptional members of staff, they took care of us and the cake too, nothing is too much trouble, they go over and beyond to make our stay so welcoming. We’re booked to return in July and bringing our elderly parents too for a weekend treat!

Excellent staff, particularly Joyce on reception who was full of welcoming smiles and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and took the trouble to escort us to our room. Breakfast was delicious: lots of choice, well presented and very nice surroundings

The property does boast to have the best prices if you go to them but we found it cheaper to book through an online partner.
Good location. Accommodating staff who were all very pleasant and happy to help with anything. We had a nice room to stay in and reasonably priced too.

Bar was open until 23:00. We arrived back from the concert accross the street around 22:45. We could have used just 30 miniutes more.

Not quite in the centre of town but it wasn't a long walk - 10-15 mins.
We were upgraded to an executive room which was lovely. It was a large room with all amenities. Parking at the hotel. Fantastic location for GLive.

The staff were incredibly helpful and very customer focused. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right next to the centre of the town. We only have breakfast but the food was superb as well.

Felt menu was a little limited. But the food we had was very nice, but if I stayed for more than a couple of nights I would have struggled to find something I wanted to eat
The staff were lovely, super welcome and all that we dealt with were the same, nothing was too much trouble. Room very nice good size and very comfortable.

Didn’t have breakfast due to cost of £17 each which I felt was excessive (particularly for the amount I would eat at that time of day). Went out in town and had good breakfast for £12 less for the 2 of us than it would have cost at the hotel..
Parking immediately outside hotel(cost £15). Very welcoming receptionist. Beautifully decorated and well maintained. Comfortable bar. Within walking distance of the town.

Restaurant food was dreadful. My burger and chips were overcooked. Rather use one of the local restaurants. Rumwong Thai is excellent value.
