Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Saudi ArabiaWe arrived at the hotel lobby early morning at around 6:30-7:00 am. The reception staff after fiddling for 5-7 min told us that our room is not there and was cancelled for no show. We had booked from previous day so that we get check -in when we arrive early morning and had written to booking.com 2 messages explaining that we have booked from previous date and that checkin should be available immediately upon arrival. The reception hotel staff told us that you wrote to booking.com and not to the hotel. This really put us off as they were trying to shrug off responsibilities of this cancellation. Anyway booking.com and the Hotel were at fault, however, the good thing is that the staff at the reception quickly realized this and told us to wait for 10 min, gave us breakfast coupons and in span of 15 min allocated an upgraded and good room due to the discomfort that we had. So that squared it off and we were pleased with that approach of the hotel and staff how they handled the situation. So thumbs up for that. Booking.com please be aware of this and don't bother your customers like this. If someone is paying one day ahead to have peace and quick check in, your site should not bother them with your bot replies and not understanding the issue. And for this we need a reply from you if you are really into customer service and our long standing multiple bookings that we have done over last 10 years from your site. The hotel staff were good. Hotel is good, rooms are nice, clean, comfy, area is good, safe, underground/tube is close, good connectivity, nearby Kensington area is upscale, got decent price for 5 nights that we booked. Breakfast was also okay okay. Next time will stay again here. Would request other guest also to chose this hotel for your trip to London Central.

Great location for museums, Hyde park, underground and street of shops to grab food. The decor feels plush and the staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was great.
