Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe cooked breakfast was poor quality for the price and was tepid in temperature. The regular pork sausages were cheap and full of water, tasteless and poor value. The bed was a great size but incredibly uncomfortable and too firm. The tea tray didn't really excite me with very little on it considering the star status of the hotel and price per night they charge. The conference networking and break room wasn't accessible by wheelchair due to a broken lift. (Conservatory) The lights system in the Hotel room are screwed up. You can't switch the bedside lights on without keeping all the main lights on. You can't even plug in the lamp using the socket by the bed because it also switches off when you turn off the main lights. I had to move the desk lamp to the bedside table, unplug the floor lamp and plug the desk lamp into that socket. The thermostat / air conditioning didn't really work very well. Not easy to get to as a wheelchair user with the Tube stations not having step free access. It cost me a lot of money in taxi fares travelling from and to King's Cross.
The decor was awesome in the main areas. A good selection of places to eat nearby. The reception, porters, and consierge staff were very helpful and attentive. Big room with big bed The pyramid plug and charger gadget was useful. The conference catering was lovely! The food was tasty. An alternative route was provided to the networking room for the conference due to a broken lift.

United KingdomSee above. Staff were all well trained and attention.
Room was an upgrade to the Club area (thank you). But the room, although large, was very basic and tatty. The lack of toiletry accoutrements like soap in the shower was very disappointing. There were only two dispensers of the same shampoo.

United StatesThe room and bathroom were spacious and nicely decorated. The bed and linens were comfortable. We liked being in the Kensington area close to where people lived. The subway was very near and it was easy to get to Hyde Park, the Victoria and Albert Museum and other sites. It didn't seem as touristy as some places in London. The food in the bar was very good.

TaiwanThe room had several maintenance issues that stood out. There were multiple chippings in the corners, and the marble covering on the toilet water tank was cracked. Additionally, some metal fixtures had visible patina and calcification. While these issues didn’t greatly affect the comfort of my stay, they were hard to overlook, especially considering the high standard of the lobby.
The hotel boasts a convenient location, and the staff at reception and concierge were exceptionally polite and helpful. The room was spacious with a large bathtub and a powerful shower. The soundproofing was impressive, ensuring a peaceful night’s rest, and the curtains effectively blocked out light for a good sleep.

New ZealandMaybe rooms need to be checked more thoroughly to make sure everything is up to standard.
the location is ideal, right by Gloucester Road Tube and all its facilities, and walking distance to South Ken, good bus service too. Room was good, although we had to change rooms as the air con didn't work and that turned into a bit of a problem. All ended well though.

New ZealandThe buffet breakfast seemed not as good as the last time (two years ago) the room had a large airconditioning unit unused between the desk and the window that made it difficult to use the desk and the outlet for the unit stopped the window from being shut - low grade accommodation

The location was great, the hotel is really close to Gloucester Road underground station. The staff were friendly and helpful, check-in and check-out were done quickly. Breakfast was good with a good selection of choice and the staff were efficient at getting tables ready.
