Lovely vieuw, comfy bed, very clean. Could do with a small table to sit at write/read. Over-bed reading light. Small shelf over basins to put things on. All just non-essential but comfort-increasing; don't always want to sit in the communal spaces.

A small thing but the back of cubicle grouting in shower could do with cleaning or replacement. Also suggest a glass in room for teeth cleaning....can be got from downstairs.

What a brilliant location with rooms facing the seafront! So handy too for the wonderful Museuem on History of Fishing in Scotland and the Fife Coastal Path. A priveledge to stay in such a wonderful historic building with many intact original architectural features....floor tiles, staircase, radiators The shared kitchen facilities were good. Having an allocted shower and toilet nearby worked generally well.

Lovely location overlooking the sea, the rooms are very comfortable and generally it is very clean. The shared kitchen is nice and generally people staying there were friendly. We arrived late but it was easy to access the properly

Long time since i have stayed in a hostel but it was fabulous. Clean, warm, pretty room, Binoculars provided which my daughter loved. We only styed one night but i wish it was longer and would love to come back.

The cosiness and informality of an old fashioned yet well refurbished historical bulding (The Murrey Lybeary) , fantastically located at the sea front at the core of the charming Anstruther fishing port. Around, if you decide to relinquish the hostel common kitchen facilities, there are enough shops, restaurants and bars of good quality. Darius, the hostel manager, is a gentle host that make us feel "at home". Very quiet and well fitted private room and bathroom facilities (it was my choice), pristinely clean.

Location is on the harbour front with parking opposite, £1.20 an hour is incredible, so perfect. Private bathroom is on a corridor, but don’t let that put you off. Exceptionally clean with hand soap, towels and Reed diffuser! Room clean and tidy with beautiful sea /harbour view. Even a fresh rose in a vase. Would have loved a kettle in room, but knew this so took my own. It is a hostel not a boutique hotel, but an exceptional one and would definitely stay again!! Great find. Darius was very helpful and welcoming. All details sent through email.

I wished there was body wash in the shower, but I’ve never stayed in hostel before so maybe that’s normal!

The hostel is in a perfect location, beautiful old library, and Darius is so kind and accommodating. Everything you need is there!
