A fabulous place to stay. Everything we required - a comfortable room with a stunning sea view. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious. Darius was kind and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, he kindly dried our daughter’s down jacket as we got soaked on our walk. The location was perfect for our stay and visit out to Isle of May.

Nothing! Only thing to point out is that while the bathrooms are private, they are not ensuites. This did not trouble us at all.

The Library is a wonderful place to stay. The view from the rooms is excellent and the hostel very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious and everything was very clean. The location is excellent. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

Location - right in the center! Very nice team! Beautiful, spacious room with a sea view. Very comfortable bed, well-equipped shared kitchen. absolutely nothing to complain about, the hostel exceeded our expectations.

The location can't be beat -- right on the waterfront with the bus stop at the front door and restaurants in both directions. The view over the harbour was lovely. Darius, the hostel manager, was extremely helpful. Although the room was cold (everywhere was cold at that time), there was plenty of cosy bedding.

We liked everything

The location was perfect for us. We were very impressed with the thoughtful layout the kitchen, the light coming through the windows, the seating space and the range of facilities. It was clear the moment we arrived that everything was clean and organised. The host was extremely helpful about anything we needed, and made sure we were satisfied with everything. What a lovely sea view from the bedroom.

A cosy, accommodating hostel, in an old building brimming w/personality! Excellently located. Woke up to the sound of waves slowly crashing up against the shore. The kitchen was well-equipped and spacious, the toilets and showers were clean and well-maintained. The bed was delightfully comfortable, and the hostel itself was inviting, charming, and wonderful. Darius was friendly, prompt, and professional. My stay in Anstruther was excellent thanks to the lovely Murray Library Hostel :-)

The room has lovely views of the sea and it was very clean and tidy. The communal area was excellent and very comfortable with all you need for cocking and socialising. There is a loevly room with games and a piano.

Comfy, cosy bed with good view. Shared lounge and kitchen very welcoming. Darius very helpful host without being overbearing. Safe indoor spot to store bicycles

The bed! This night was a punishment. Maybe some people like soft beds I don't know 😕. That was the most uncomfortable bed ever. 😵😵😵 Sorry 😞

I wasn't bothered but if I'm honest my wife did complain that there wasn't a TV in the room. But the wifi was so good that if you wanted to then you just watch TV on your own device so actually no problem

The location and bed was second to none and if you are happy with using the kitchen downstairs then you couldn't ask for a better facility. Honestly I was very impressed
