I was told that the two rooms we had booked were upgraded to sea view but neither was. While it made no difference to my one night stay the expectation was given then briefly disappointed. At night the reception staff also man the bar which means at times longer waits to order drinks. On the night we stayed ther was no Diet Coke or lemonade which seemed poor.

I have stayed here before and found again a very clean and comfortable room. There is parking at the hotel which in the Oban can be difficult. While I did not use the swimming pool on this occasion it was available for use. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.

Double glazed window in bedroom blown which partially blokjed a lovely view Cigarette buts on ledge outside of room, but they got washed away with medium rainfall.

The window in my room didn't shut, so it didn't lock either. Nor would it lock on vent. It looked as though it had been forced open from the outside at some point in its past. I am glad I was only staying one night as I felt the security of the room was compromised, even though a safe was provided.

The reception staff were brilliant. The head waitress was brilliant. Completely on the ball. However, she was let down by a young lad on the desk for dinner who did not seem to know he should have handed out the dessert menu when requested.

Cleanliness is bedroom could be improved. Working fan in bathroom would also reduce the dampness in bedroom and bathroom.

Nice hotel in a beautiful, quiet location. Staff were very friendly. The room was a good size and had a bath which was perfect after long days driving the surrounding area. Food was good, highly recommend the mac cheese with crab! Breakfast was fine too. Only downsides were the car park, its tiny, if there's an overflow car park, its not sign posted. The bed was also hard and i woke up in pain both mornings. Booking.com omitted to update me that the swimming pool was open again therefore didn't bring a swimming suit, I could have used the steam room after my long drives.

Request for 3 single beds had been agreed but room not arranged for this on arrival. Milk on hospitality tray out of date. Given out of date milk the next day. Would prefer to be in the main building in room for 3 as has been possible previously.
