Room very basic but clean enough- kitchen looked dirty and dining room felt grubby. This put us off our breakfast. Hard to find staff My son got his fingers trapped in the self closing fire doors - couldn’t find any staff for assistance. Staff were not around during check out.

Manager was very scruffy and unkempt and didn't engage with the guests. Bar and outside area looked cluttered. The shower, although hot enough, was spoilt by the water flow being a mere trickle.

Generally the hotel was clean and reasonably decorated.

The mattress on the bed was ok but I'd have like a softer one without springs. Also hard to find in the dark but Owen was fab about guiding me in over speaker phone. Everything else about the stay was wonderful.

Breakfast was great. I ask for a no meat cooked breakfast, enjoyed lots of coffee and juice and chatted with people in the breakfast room - which was bright and roomy and well appointed, by the way.

The bunk beds! Couldn’t climb up the ladder (mobility issues) couldn’t see the tv from the bottom bunk - claustrophobic!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Family run Hotel. I didnt want to come home. Beautiful views surrounding the hotel. I could not fault the hotel on anything. I would stay here again and recommend staying here. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The room was tiny and a bit pricey... The moment the fair ended there was no pub open or way to get food.

The check in was poor, I didn't see anyone - but man on the phone was informative and on hand if anything was needed. Light in bathroom kept going off whilst I was in the shower. Didn't like the fact that the fire extinguisher was left to keep the door open all night -anyone could of waked in - feeling a bit on edge as a lone female traveller.

I GPS'ed the trip but once I arrived I had trouble finding the entrance. While I was searching, I noticed 2 fire doors were jammed open which worried me. There was no receptionist. There was a mobile number but my battery was low. I was lucky that another guest arrived with a working phone. The kitchen was shut. The room was very clean and tidy. There was no directions in the corridors. There was no internal phone, There was a skylight but no view. The WiFi was excellent.

The bedroom was so small and don’t expect bunk beds for two adults but could touch each wall with stretched out arms. I read bunk beds but thought ok must be a fair room though but nope. Bathroom attached nice.

The food was great and staff friendly . Located right on the show ground.

Our room was very noisy..there were several little things wrong with it which we complained about..the water cistern had broken prior to out artival and yet we were still offered the room..the manager was very helpful and gave us a fresh room but only after we had a really bad nights sleep.. this location could be fantastic but the rooms need updating...they were clean and tidy but just very tired..

Breakfast was hot , and served by very friendly staff..although there was a lot of plastic packets for the butter and jams...The check in manager was extremely helpful and very pleasant. The bar lady opened the bar early so we could get a drink as six o’clock seemed very late when we had been up since five I. The morning..

Very basic room for the amount charged. Also breakfast served to late for the dog show on site that was a 4 day event. Adjustments could have been made to the timings. Dirty marks tea stains on walls and carpet.

it was worse than faulty towers!!! bar closed, restaurant didn’t serve evening meals they blame staff shortages which is rubbish they have been saying that for months - run very cheaply on a shoe string - bedding had stains on carpet was dirty and not hoovered - false advertising saying bar, restaurant, gin bar but nothing open like they have given up but still wanting full money for the rooms it was like a village hall with rooms added - very very shabby and disorganised will be in contact with the owner
