Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomIt was a little noisy at night when people were coming home after a night out as it's close to a lot of student accommodation.
This was in a good location for the Freeman Hospital and within walking distance. It was close to a small shopping area with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars nearby. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

United KingdomIt was described as a hotel ,and a deluxe double but it was simply a room in a very small, poorly equipped block with absolutely no staff support, a bed that was so old, collapsed and uncomfortable that we came away with very fragile backs, hardly any heating and what there was was 'controlled centrally' (not by us), only summer bedding with no additional blankets or covers and no one to ask for them, two old toilet rolls (for a three night stay), and self check in arrangements that we were only advised of when we had already made the booking and received a note from the hotel advising us of the fact with extremely long computer codes . The confirmatory post booking note from the rooms also advised that there was no staff except during weekdays 9-5,and none at all during the weekend except for emergencies. Again, we arrived on a Friday night and left on Monday and were only made aware of this lack of support after we had made the booking.
