Very concerned to see gangs of youths emerging from the elevator with balloons in their mouths obviously puffing on nangs before their night out. How is this allowed to happen?

Room was rather dimly lit despite full lighting. Also although very clean bathroom definite sewer smell from there.

Very good location for the hippodrome and new street station. Comfortable spacious room, very clean and excellent breakfast.

No table service for tea and coffee as usually happens when we stay here, breakfast wasn't up to the usual standard. Staff didn't clear away empty plates we had to put them on the adjoining table. No welcome drink voucher as usually given. Frequent stayer at this hotel

Lovely big room. Big comfortable beds and pillows. Rooms are fab. Fridge in room. Great location . Our "go to hotel" for concerts . Reception fragrance is divine..

Nice room but a bit tired, lots of chips in furniture and in bathroom. Toilet cracked and bathroom had few brown stains near the telephone. Not sure why a phone is needed? Room service food was awful.

The room was dusty, the carpets were stained, the pillows were flat as anything, pillow cases had stains on them. The TV was a faff & super slow. But the worst part was the bathroom sink - the smell was disgusting when you turned the tap on and I did mention this to staff upon check out and they were very nice about and apologetic about it. I personally don’t think it was value for money as the previous night in Manchester I stayed in a hotel that was much much better for nearly half the price so…

Great location to New Street Train Station and the O2 Academy. Room was just okay for one night, wouldn’t stay longer than that.

Staff not very hospitable I booked a room standard room with a king size bed. On arrival I was told they were so full I might have to choose a bedroom that was next to the vents or a bedroom that had 2 single beds. I was not amused as this was a surprise birthday gift for my husband. I paid alot of money and was put in a position I didn't need to be in. After showing some frustration I was allocated the room that I paid for. (I shouldn't have had to 'beg' for what I already paid for. I messaged the hotel in advance to let them know it was for my husbands birthday, so to make it special if possible. No smile, or even acknowledgement was given. They couldn't wait to get rid of us, which was the vibe we got. A real shame.

Didn't like the NCP carpark. Very very tight. Dodgy looking and very expensive. &29 for 24hrs. Not hotels fault though. NCP's

Fab hotel 3 course evening meal must not be missed. Make sure you hungry. Staff friendly and helpful.

Limited choice of hot breakfast. No choice of eggs with English breakfast only scrambled eggs.

The experience of the breakfast (buffet style) poor quality and lack of service did not keep up with the rest of the facilities and service within the hotel.

Even though we were 10 floors up, we could still hear traffic noise from the street below (the A38 - the main road through Birmingham) which did not abate all night. Perhaps install triple glazing?

Large, airy room, Comfortable bed. Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Plentiful breakfast. Great views from the room.
