How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

A way of getting cartoons on the TV would have been good but there was no WiFi on the TV so no way of getting Pop or Ketchup on the TV and no way to sign into your Netflix but that’s minor really

Buss stop was near. Easy travel to Liverpool city center by buss. Nice parks and onshops in walking distance.. Good communication with the host. Good kitchen to make food

Check-in times a bit limited (15:00-16:00hrs), although the host proactively offered more flexibility without additional cost.
Full apartment with all appliances needed for a medium-long stay. Private parking. Quiet room.

We had two very minor complaints and that’s all, could have had more pillows on the beds and there weren’t any dishwasher tabs in the cleaning cupboard so either bring some or hand wash.
The space was lovely, the kitchen was very well equipped, we often stay in short term rentals like this and this was by far the best kitchen we have had, I was actually able to do proper cooking and baking. Everything clean and felt homey. We would definitely stay again. Loved the water pressure in the bathroom and the toiletries available. Beds were comfy and bedding very good quality. The owner was lovely, very helpful and communicative through out our stay.

The TV is not a Smart TV, it would be great if it could be connected to an entertainment app. But that's not that important to me.
I liked almost everything a very quiet, stress free place great for working without distractions. A noise free flat

Lovely, spotlessly clean modern apartment which is exactly as advertised. Everything is in good working order. Plenty of hot water and we woke up to a warm apartment. The host is friendly, welcoming and easy to contact. She has been very responsive to questions in the build up to our stay. The kitchen is well equipped. Perfect location for us as we are staying to break up our journey to Northern Ireland. Its taken us exactly 6 minutes to get to the ferry port. Would definitely book again if we are coming to the area.

Personal preference, but would prefer more than one pillow to sleep on the beds
Wonderfully clean, Just as it shows on the pictures. Felt like Home away from home. Host was really lovely and easy to get hold of. Great location with easy access to Liverpool and Wirral. Will Defo be back

The location meant it wasn’t easy to get to/from Liverpool City Centre but I realised this when booking
It was very clean and comfortable and there were some provisions in the fridge which was really welcome. The host, Kaveeta was really helpful. She kept in touch about arrangements and instructions were clear

Nice owner very friendly and welcoming. Clean apartment with all the basic needs provided. Great location for the purpose of my visit. Went above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and easily accessible by text messages. We forgot our clothing, she was happy to post it us and also offer us late check out option with no additional cost.

Suitable for our needs but not much in the area, little run-down.
Clean property, well maintained and some nice touches. Decent bathroom with plenty of toiletries Good walk through with host and offered later check-out without charge

Very nice apartment in a quiet area just outside Liverpool, but well connected by bus taxi or Uber. Kaveeta has been very nice and helpfull during check-in. Thank you, we have really enjoyed our stay with you.

Lovely modern apartment. Very clean. Lovely touches to make it very pleasant to stay in. Owner left basics such as milk, and toiletries. Having one parking space was great too.

Really can't comment. I guess it would be nice to be able to have a bath, so plugs would be good, however, I also understand the reasons why they have been removed and know that had I asked they could have been provided.
Owner reacted positively to previous feedback left. Apartment was as we expected. Hosts were extremely flexible and helpful. Although it's a self catering place, there is always milk left for us, which is great after a long journey. This is the second time we have started and definitely won't be the last. Host is friendly, correspondence between us was always good. 100% recommended.
