It's a horrible.place! Dirtyy, noisy and not safe.

Music in the evening... very loud in our room., but I was told about this, the kids weren't bothered by it and was finished by 11.30pm.

Guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Room was large great size for 2 kids and myself, lovely view of the harbour. Breakfast was amazing.

Breakfast great one staff member dealt with me very well. Keeley I think. Room was quiet. Jamie booked me in and gave me parking permit for the visit. Shown fire exit from Upper floors. Day bar staff looked after me. Met lovely local people. The evening bar staff Freya was lovely , there was folk music in one side of pub.

Tired room, mould in the bathroom, dirty carpet. A band was playing until midnight and our room was directly above the music, it was impossible to sleep. Our door lock was faulty and we were locked in our bedroom in the morning and had to use a teaspoon to wrench it open. The staff were dismissive and rude when we mentioned it the next morning. To be honest this was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in.

Run down room, no wardrobe so nowhere to hang suit and shirt. just generally needed a lick of paint. And never had to pay a deposit for door key before and I have stayed in many BB in the area.

Maybe for tall people it would not be very comfortable in the room we had but all of us did not have any problem with it so we managed anyway.

It was really nice. Worth it for the price, nice staff, lovely breakfast. We all really enjoyed the time in Sailors Return. We stayed one night, but I recommend it.

Very unwelcoming. No notice about the live music until we were checking in or any mention about an extra £10 refundable deposit for the room key. The room was poor quality and seriously needs new electrics. We had the kettle plugged into an extension lead on the floor. Also the en-suite was in need of upgrade and had a macerator toilet which made awful noise and they didn’t even provide a bar of soap. Other guests were so loud and banging on doors that woke us up and then shortly afterwards the fire alarm went off at 3am and nobody was in house to check on it. We couldn’t get out of the room because the latch was faulty. We managed to use a teaspoon to lever the latch open and then after twiddling the key in the lock we got it to work and then left it on the latch. Also no fire evacuation procedures were available and nobody checked to make sure that the guests were safe. No apologies the next morning about the alarm or questions if we were ok. Breakfast was not the best. All fried and poor quality and we were told that we would be charged extra for a large breakfast! Really disappointed with the service and felt very uncomfortable with our stay. Didn’t even get asked if we slept well (which obviously we didn’t) would avoid at all costs!

The bed was really uncomfortable and the room was very small the en-suite bathroom was so small I could not use it and opted to use the communal toilet and shower located outside the view from my room was a brick wall so not very nice at all the staff were welcoming and the breakfast was good
