The bar and restaurent are currently undergoing a refurbishment but that activity has spilt over into the accomodation side of the business, creating a building site environment in the passage ways and shared bathroom facilities.

The room was fairly clean and warm, the staff were friendly.

Room above a 21st birthday party. We could have been told this in advance. So noisy £103 very pricey for a room. We went down in the afternoon to watch the football scores with a pint and all 4 tvs had boxing on.

Toilet flush was broken. Entrance to hotel at rear of building was neglected-litter and slightly overgrown with weeds.

There was the kit to make tea/coffee in room, but no kettle? No one on reception/bar in morning, so no morning brew. No ariel for tele, so we couldn't' watch anything at night time. The price we paid you would expect the two previously mentioned not to be an issue. It was lively until about 11:30pm then quietened down. Loud music, shouting the usual pub noise/vibe. By 12:30am it was silent. But it does state this in the description, so we were aware before booking and cool with it. We stayed on a Saturday night. Anyone with young children, elderly or edgy around this sort of environment. I wouldn't recommend booking. All in all good for what it was.

Young lad on reception/bar was helpful and genuine. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. Private entrance round back for hotel guests, so don't have to walk through the boozer (which could be daunting if you're not used to rowdiness). Enough clean towels. Got given a family room, as he couldn't' find key for double, so plenty of space and pillows. Shared bathrooms that were clean. Free parking on arrival and lasts for 24 hours (always a bonus).

their door's key lock was not friendly we got locked out the door because we forgot to pick the keys and bathroom was not up to satisfaction noise from the bar downstairs

Room had 3 beds and 1 wardrobe with no bar inside for clothes to hang only 1 hanger with nowhere to hang it

The cups had coffee stains kettle was dirty inside so didn't make a drinking the shower door keep falling off but the water was hot and you had to book your reg for your car in th pub but one night it was not open parked up the road

I would say that the room is a wee bit tired and needs modernisation...but it it would be great for short term visit and I understand that it would be a great budget place for groups looking to visit for football or to visit Liverpool as only 5 stops away from it.

A very friendly welcome staff were excellent... Very helpful and lovely to chat to. It is very close to the promenade (if that's what it is called) about 15 minutes walk where there is a beach, coffee shops, theatre we went to see a comedian Alfie More (had a show on radio 4) plenty of coffe shops and the Pub/room was in a great location.

No, soaps in bathroom, tea and coffee but no kettle, light not working in bathroom, very shabby decor, karoke on till midnight.
