How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfasts were not served beyond 9 am. That's far too early for people on holiday or for children. More suited to people going to work. Also check out is very early, most hotels are 11am or 12 noon.
Great room. Lovely bed. Amazing big and soft towels. Lovely staff, so helpful. Wonderful breakfasts, so well cooked and fresh.

Nothing to dislike.
Location is central with shopping within easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good, the service and host friendly and accommodating. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Check out time was 10-am which was very early and breakfast finished at 9am which was too early.
Lovely clean property and great location. Lovely breakfast.

Our experience at Springfields was fantastic all due to the lovely lady who was managing the hotel. She was so friendly and helpful with evermore where to fit in a full car park to printing off our flight boarding passes. Our room was well appointed and the location excellent being close to restaurants and shops as well as the beautiful walking space of Horsham Oark. Breakfast was also excellent.

Nothing. We liked everything about the hotel.
Springfields was an amazing surprise to us! We have become used to chain hotels providing tiny bedrooms with shower rooms you can hardly turn around in, all with their plastic food and soulless staff. Not so at Springfields! The welcome by Jennie was friendly and she was very helpful. She showed us to a large, quiet, spotlessly clean room which had an en-suite bathroom, with fluffy towels, that was also spotless. The bed was very comfortable with luxurious white bedding. In the morning, breakfast was excellent! A ‘full English’ that was cooked perfectly. It is rare to find a hotel that cooks bacon properly. Would recommend this small hotel to anybody - you would have made a very good choice. There is also parking at the rear.

Room too warm for us in hot weather but cooled overnight with windows open. Fan in room but if blind had been left down and windows open during the day, room would have been fine.

Only downside, which is very minor, the temperature in our room (number 5) was very warm! We were lucky enough to have warm weather during our stay so this could’ve contributed, but we were able to open the windows and a fan was already provided so not too much of a big deal.
The property was very clean, the room was really spacious and had everything we needed. The shower was really hot and powerful. The staff were really friendly, reception and restaurant, we were made to feel very welcome. Great location, shops nearby and really quiet area.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was a good size and comfortable. Although close to the centre of Horsham and to the ring road it was quiet even with the windows open at night. The breakfast was good and plenty to eat. We will definitely stay there again.
