Unfortunately the WiFi was very unstable, very often the download speed was below 2 Mbps and sometimes not working at all, also depending on what mobile network you're using this can also be non-excitant for eg the Three Network this is quite typical for Norfolk

The Stable View is a lovely and comfortable place to stay very roomy, its very comfortable with a big TV and dvd player. The bed is comfortable and the place is very warm, the kitchen is well stocked apart from scissors. The cottage has 2 bathrooms one with a bath the other with a walk in shower the shower isn't listed but most welcome. You can park your car in front of the cottage even though there are farm vehicles moving about. There is plenty of walking paths, we were there in January so hardly any campers were there. We found it very peaceful. Hingham is a small village but has a Co Op. Watton isn't far away which is a fairly big town

nothing at all wrong with this property but was shocked to find that there was only one pub in the village (did food but wasn’t cheap) and only one in Watton (8 miles) and none in Attleborough (also 8 miles away). I don’t know if it was to do with Covid but pubs (especially with food ) were few and far between in Norfolk. Maybe being quite isolated there could have been a ‘welcome pack’ ?? The only ‘complaint’ would have been not allowed into the property until 5pm….

Everything in the cottage that you would want.

A number of things you’d normally expect were not there - bins in bathrooms, instructions for use of equipment, book for guests’ comments. Toaster would burn unless constantly watched. Have never previously experienced such squeaky floors, and could have done without being awakened by a cockerel before 5 every morning!

Location suited us perfectly for family history research in Hingham, Scoulton and Carbrooke. Property compact and generally comfortable. Two bathrooms was luxury. Pleasant to have the lake with its wildlife to enjoy.
