No negatives to speak of.

Welcoming, warm, clean quality fixtures and fittings. All the little extras made a difference. Breakfast was excellent. Not an overfilled plate, which always puts me off. Just right size. Veg option was first time my husband commented that the sausage was tasty and cooked properly. I had fruit and yogurt. selection was good. very tasty. Jodie was the young lady who met us last night and was serving breakfast the next day. very pleasant and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much. Very well run hotel. Will be back, it’s a little gem.

Wishes we could have stayed longer!

A very cosy room in this very old building. Whilst a small room it was very comfortable with a nice bed. The food at this establishment is just superb. The evening menu is just full of tempting dishes prepared by a very good chef. We are already looking to return even though it is a distance away from West Sussex

shower was really bad … pressure and temperature very cold … family of three staying and really needed a hot shower after a long day of travel.

AWESOME. The young people running this place are amazing. The food was amazing. The locals are very friendly. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. From the young birthday girl, her brother, and even the singing chef. Thank God he can cook better than he sings. I would go back to this place any day of the week. I only gave it ten out of ten because I could not find eleven.

lovely spacious family studio with fridge , dining table and sofa. all staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Even though they weren’t serving dinner as it was a Sunday evening, they promptly brought plates and cutlery to the room for us to eat our picnic food with. we would definitely stay again if breaking the journey home from Scotland.

Only a point for people to be aware the kitchen is closed Sunday and Monday and the pub is open 4pm to 10pm daily. This was nor an inconvenience for me.

Really nice pub, comfortable room. Great that it had local beers. Friendly locals. There is only the pub in the hamlet but that really suited me. But there are places to eat nearby.

I booked a family suite and got a stunning 4 bed apartment with large bathroom a kitchen area,sofa and 4 seater dining table - the room was clean and very comfortable we payed £140 for it and felt We’d got an absolute bargain. The restaurant was fully booked, but they took our order and delivered it to the room also delivering a drinks order - they went above and beyond. The food was honestly amazing 👌 We had 4 main courses a bottle of red, 4 pints, 6 mojitos and 4 packets of crisps which came to £128 which I thought was very fair. String of horses is an exceptional place with a great atmosphere excellent facilities and staff and definitely a 10/10 from us

Spacious refurbished room and en suite. Very comfortable. Host was extremely pleasant and helpful especially advising alternative eating establishments given their restaurant was closed that evening of our stay. Adequate car parking and cosy bar area.
