How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Small but comfortable (single) room. I've stayed here twice and found the staff to be very good, friendly and helpful. Nice quiet bar to spend the evening in. Good, inexpensive breakfast in the morning. Good location for getting around. Very close to Erskine bridge, which gets you across the river and onto the M8 quickly. It's on the A82, so if you prefer, you can head north for some site seeing. It wouldn't be long before you're at Loch Lomond. They have a function suite which was busy both nights I stayed, but unlike some other places, it's not under the rooms!! Consequently, you will not be disturbed by it. I'd stay here again and can recommend to others.

Only problem was there was no hairdryer in the room. It was early in the morning when I realised I needed one and asked a very obliging cleaner in the corridor. He was not able to get me one as the housekeeper's cupboard was locked and she would not be arriving until later. This was the only thing that went wrong and was not a big deal.
Staff were very helpful, food was good , accommodation good.

Room was too small for a double bed with only 6 inches between bed end and wall. The bathroom was poorly maintained with evidence of mould, rusty bath drain and cracked floor tiles
It was an ideal location for our purpose with competitively priced breakfast menu served by friendly staff.

The bar closed too early. They said something about having to prepare for New Years Eve.

The room we were in was extremely hot even with the windows open. The bed was too hard for us, but that is maybe a preference more than a criticism.
Staff were lovely and the room although basic exceptionally clean.

Lift needs repaired had to carry cases upstairs and it's been like that since Aug 2024 that I know off
The location so near to public transport and bar and meals so cheap on site staff so welcoming

Didn't like nothing, but rooms do need repainted ,and a wee suggestion id maybe look at putting a small fridge in the rooms for like fresh milk and yogurts ect .

Room was way too small if you had been big no way would you have got passed end of bed to get to bathroom

Breakfast offered from 10am when I suspect all people travelling for either work or leisure will be back on the road or already out for the day.

It was just an overnight stay. It was clean and comfortable. Staff were very nice. Only disappointment was the lack of food available, which couldn't be helped.

Mould on the bathroom ceiling, only 3 channels worked on the TV, no hairdryer provided despite it being listed in facilities, cracked bathroom floor tiles and visable holes in the wall that have been filled and not painted over.
Close by to entertainment venues and shops. Bed was comfortable, staff were friendly, restaurant was lovely and fast service with good food.

The decor of the room was old, which would have been better for a coat of paint but it's working hotel so it's what you need

Nothing on this occasion. Ideal stop over point.
This for me was an ideal no frills two night stop over point for visiting a friend in Bearsden. Small room but it had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Free on-site parking. Free WiFi big TV with free view. Yes some of the trimmings are a little tired but it was clean, comfortable and very well priced.
