When we arrived we had no water in our room. We were being moved to another room and they were going to put some bubbly as an apology in our room. At the last second we weren’t moved but I felt they should have still followed through with this gesture as it interrupted our meal with updates and showing us the new room.

Staff were friendly, food was amazing and the room was lovely.

We had an amazing stay, could not fault anything. Food was exceptional, both meals plus breakfast could not be faulted. The restaurant was warm and inviting. Our room was spacious and very clean, with beautiful views across the countryside. All the staff that we came into contact with were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. A truly beautiful escape.

Great stopover close to motorway and A roads. Nice country location and very relaxing in the lovely garden after a hard day. Room was comfortable,clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. Had evening meal and breakfast. I hope to stay again if in the area.

Beautiful old building. Private furnished courtyard from bedroom. Excellent large shower and bed . Access to fields for an hour's circular walk with dog. Lovely decor . Fresh milk for room . Cafetiere in room.

We had a ground floor room in the external accomodation block. Sadly as it's an old building the floors were a bit creaky making the heard of wilderbeast or so it seemed staying upstairs noisy and a little annoying. Not much you can do about it really. We only stayed one night and thought it was a little expensive for the experience.

Nice well appointed property with easy check in and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfortable bed and nice room.

Room was tired with paint peeling off ceilings, stains on carpet and scuffed carpet. restaurant service was terrible they tried hard but really no system to delivering a good service, the food was poor , really disappointing for my mums birthday. we were told on booking in the bar shut and 11 , well at 10 were were told last orders. We asked for the 2 for 1 cocktails as advertised in the toilets , to be told that was not possible now, so remove the promotion! Overall the pub was nice, lacked the finishing touches and was over proceed for what we were offered at this time, the restaurant we wont be using again. We were not the only ones with issues.

The property looks very tied and really needs updating. The bed linen could be replaced with new linen as the linen in our room was not exactly white and fresh linen
