Room was clean and well equipped. Bed was comfortable and shower was very good. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks were provided free of charge. The town centre location is convenient yet quiet. Good choice of options for breakfast, our choice was hot, tasty and well presented. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back.

We’d have loved all options to be available at the bar as a few things were out of stock, but the bar has a great variety so it was no issue to find an alternative. Staff were knowledgeable and recommend alternatives with ease too!
A cosy inn/ B&B atmosphere, the friendliness of all the staff was great. Taking a genuine interest in not only us but we also witnessed their interactions with their regulars and other customers and this was the same attentive interest that they paid to us! Our room was so clean, we’ve stayed in places for 5x the cost that are no where as clean as the cross keys! Food was lovely and filling, great local products. Helpful with taxi company details and local info! The car park is so so close it’s really no issue and easy to access and find with the great clear details on their website!

It is definitely a bed and breakfast establishment as opposed to an hotel. Once I realised this , I was quite happy. My room was very nicely appointed . The staff were also extremely pleasant and very helpful. A freshly cooked breakfast was delicious

Breakfast delicious and tailored to our requirements not strictly on the menu. Great atmosphere, quiet jazz playing, coffee delicious, staff friendly and knowledgable.
